We are severely undersized, outlengthed, and can't shoot.

Pike's got our guys working their tails off though.

Last year we lose this by 15.

Outscored by 13 in the last 6 minutes by a group of freshmen. We need more horses in the stable.

Sanders has to pull up and not continue to go in with 2 guys in front of him. But he has no help from our big guys either.
You shouldn't have to learn how to play smart.
This isn't going to look like a close game at all.

I can't believe there isn't one guy on the team that can hit an open shot. I'm guessing we shot less than 5% in the last 10 minutes.

Really thought we were going to win at 51-42. We became so tentative on offense. Hated that we didn't attack their pressure and never put pressure on, ourselves, but at the end of the day, not having any shooters is our biggest liability, as it's been all year.

Sanders is good, but needs some ice in his veins. He tends to force it at crunch time and panic.

Didn't help that we got hosed by the officiating down the stretch. Stuck out of the bonus forever, phantom foul call on Gettys, no call on Iowa guy ripping Mike Williams' arm off, no call on trip of Freeman on the mid court turnover, arguable charge on Sanders.

Mediocre basketball teams always find a way to lose games.Rutgers couldn't score and then on defense they fouled on almost every possession.Iowa wins 68-62.By far the worse loss of the season because this clearly was a winnable game which Rutgers let get away with 9 minutes to go with a 9 point lead.It was unwatchable basketball because Rutgers had no players on the court who could make a basket and or defend without fouling.Rutgers also made 10 turnovers during crunch time.

Freeman on bench with injury probably cost us.

Guys played well. Travel and play at Iowa is not easy. First step is to keep it close. Now just need to bring home the Ws With their effort, the Ws should come. Keep heads up.

Four trips to the line. Says a lot about the effort on O today. Sanders and Johnson were 11 for 33, but I guess that's about their ceiling for B1G games. Just another sad day. Pikiell's recruits are so out-played by an opponent's freshmen again. Talent may be better than the previous staff's but hard to see any uptick compared to other B1G programs. Two recruits for '17 and the question still is -- where the F is a shooter?

We still don't know how to win -- particularly on the road. We got rattled. Corey played great at both ends. Freeman was terrific. Johnson has to exhibit some BB IQ. He continually goes in among the trees and flips it up. Almost almost blocked. Is there any learning curve? Is this why K-Sate was glad to let him go>?

Diallo looks like he could be the answer. He must learn to be more...judicious with his fouls. Can't block every shot. Some time going up to just threaten and alter is enough. But experience and learning should make a difference. Gettys -- he is what he is. Doorson? Where was Doorson?

We're not going anywhere this year, but showing improvement is what we need to see. They all play very hard, don't quit, but coaching has already shown dividends and should continue. (though it doesn't seem to affect Nigel.) And work on foul shots.

No moral victories but it's the first time since the first half of the Seton Hall game where there was some semblance of basketball. We were going backwards.
