Making a big deal about this ticket blocking thing is stupid. It’s only Ticketmaster directly from the Spurs. No other website is blocking tickets. Just trying to make yourself feel good by saying you’re trying.
Of the regulars, Dylan had the 3rd highest defensive rating. You're seeing what you want to see because you have an agenda.Dylan didn't even pretend to try and play D while here
Very, very well put.The poise Dylan plays with at the age of 20 is pretty crazy. He is only going to get better, his outside shot will improve as well. Magic and LeBron couldn’t shoot from the outside when they entered the league, look how much they improved. Hakeem and Ewing had pretty elementary offensive games when they entered the league, they improved. These are just a few examples. All the greats get better over time, no reason to think that we are actually watching the worst version of Dylan Harper we are going to see. He likely only gets better with each upcoming offseason. Think about that. I could argue he already has as much or even more poise than Fox, a so called experienced veteran. The Kobe comparisons make sense not because they have the same game, more because at a very young age it’s as if they already have veteran experience and poise in the league. Dylan is just starting to take off, only up from here.
Is that good? Third best defender on a team that was absolutely PATHETIC and played ZERO defense. Only Maryland and Penn State were worse. Nationally in the hundreds.Of the regulars, Dylan had the 3rd highest defensive rating. You're seeing what you want to see because you have an agenda.
I don’t think it’s possible to be so stupid to think my thinking is so unfathomably stupid. I think this whole thread is sad…To root for these guys so much when they did nothing for your college team. One of these guys played selfish iso-ball and didn’t want to listen to the coaches and the other put up stats but won nothing and was out a bunch of games which cost them wins too. Do you think Duke fans rooted for Kyrie Irving throughout his college career? Did you root for Dahntay Jones this much?I didn't think it was possible to be this stupid.
The Spurs players have shown poor fourth quarter performances against the Knicks.Maybe its inexperience or more likely they are tired .Missed two layups and two foul shots in final 60 seconds

Lol, reach harder.
He didn't have much interest in playing D here. I don't blame him. none of his teammates did either. You are an idiot
Led the team in steals (both total and /minute) and second in reboundingHe didn't have much interest in playing D here. I don't blame him. none of his teammates did either.
How do you know they didn’t listen to the coaches? They both looked eminently coachable in their first NBA seasons.I don’t think it’s possible to be so stupid to think my thinking is so unfathomably stupid. Ace didn’t. I’m watching the game on tv and coaches go to him during time outs and he’s giving them a reaction where he doesn’t care what they have to say. Then the coaches throw their hands up as they are pleading with him to listen. It was a major turnoff. At that point I’m thinking “just go pro and get out of here. You don’t care”. And yet a bunch of you on here are following every game of his. It’s sadHow do you know they didn’t listen to the coaches? They both looked eminently coachable in their first NBA seasons.

I can tell you first hand that Utah loves him. Ainge and his team came up with a plan for how they wanted to use Ace, which meant running him off lots of screens and either shooting off the catch or taking no more than one or two dribbles to shoot, otherwise pass the ball. He did everything they asked and they are very bullish on his future. If you are unhappy with how Ace performed at Rutgers, I think the issue is really the coaches had no idea how to play to his strengths and use him properly.Ace didn’t. I don’t think anyone is saying they weren’t the best on the team. I will always root for them except when they play the Knicks, but there is no way you can look at Dylan play defense this year and not believe he shut it down last year after getting sick, losing 10 pounds and getting hurt, and I don’t blame him at all for it, he didn’t want to hurt his draft stock. There is also something to be said about him being on a team with an MVP contender. He isn’t the focus of the other team’s defense where last year he was the only focus even with Ace on the floor.Re: feeling conflicted about Dylan & Ace's pro success (yeah the Jazz tanked this year, but they're about to start winning) after the experiment here failed: I get it. Been there myself. But I really, really don't get the need some seem to have to totally tear them down. It'd be one thing if there were legit intel out there that one or both were locker room problems, but I haven't seen anything like that - on the contrary, Politi published a pretty forceful defense of Ace when the pre-draft drama was happening last year.
There's something to the idea that they were more counting stat guys than winning players at RU, but I don't hold it against them too much - not their fault they just happened to be freshmen in the exact era when maxing out on experience became more important then ever to winning in CBB. Plus, I know advanced stats aren't perfect, but if you look at the advanced numbers available here, Dylan and Ace graded out at or near the highest on the team in pretty much everything - PER, true shooting %, win shares both overall and per 40 mins, and box plus/minus. Ultimately, the season going sideways was much more of a coaching/program/infrastructure failure IMO.
Actually Harper was the exact opposite. The guy played when he was severely compromised from the secondary flu symptoms against Wisconsin and Purdue. He basically forced the team to let him play with a bad ankle injury the second half of PSU and MSU before finally agreeing to shut it down for the next two games. After he returned from injury, he was playing his best basketball and especially on the defensive end. To say he shut it down is not only baseless but clearly just wrong.I don’t think anyone is saying they weren’t the best on the team. Sadly Harper did battle injuries for a good part of the year. However, players we were counting on especially to hit 3s severely underperformed.Actually Harper was the exact opposite.
