Making a big deal about this ticket blocking thing is stupid. It’s only Ticketmaster directly from the Spurs. No other website is blocking tickets. Just trying to make yourself feel good by saying you’re trying.

The poise Dylan plays with at the age of 20 is pretty crazy. He is only going to get better, his outside shot will improve as well. Magic and LeBron couldn’t shoot from the outside when they entered the league, look how much they improved. Hakeem and Ewing had pretty elementary offensive games when they entered the league, they improved. These are just a few examples. All the greats get better over time, no reason to think that we are actually watching the worst version of Dylan Harper we are going to see. He likely only gets better with each upcoming offseason. Think about that. I could argue he already has as much or even more poise than Fox, a so called experienced veteran. The Kobe comparisons make sense not because they have the same game, more because at a very young age it’s as if they already have veteran experience and poise in the league. Dylan is just starting to take off, only up from here.

Very, very well put.

I didn't think it was possible to be this stupid.
I don’t think it’s possible to be so stupid to think my thinking is so unfathomably stupid. I think this whole thread is sad…To root for these guys so much when they did nothing for your college team. One of these guys played selfish iso-ball and didn’t want to listen to the coaches and the other put up stats but won nothing and was out a bunch of games which cost them wins too. Do you think Duke fans rooted for Kyrie Irving throughout his college career? Did you root for Dahntay Jones this much?

How do you know they didn’t listen to the coaches? They both looked eminently coachable in their first NBA seasons.

Ace didn’t. I’m watching the game on tv and coaches go to him during time outs and he’s giving them a reaction where he doesn’t care what they have to say. Then the coaches throw their hands up as they are pleading with him to listen. It was a major turnoff. At that point I’m thinking “just go pro and get out of here. You don’t care”. And yet a bunch of you on here are following every game of his. It’s sad

So your entire argument and impression of Ace / Dylan is built around the various 5 seconds of team huddles that the network might have showed during TV timeouts? Lulz. You do you ....but forming negative impressions with almost zero evidence and anecdotal at that....does not seem like a great way to go.

I can tell you first hand that Utah loves him. Ainge and his team came up with a plan for how they wanted to use Ace, which meant running him off lots of screens and either shooting off the catch or taking no more than one or two dribbles to shoot, otherwise pass the ball. He did everything they asked and they are very bullish on his future. If you are unhappy with how Ace performed at Rutgers, I think the issue is really the coaches had no idea how to play to his strengths and use him properly.

maybe you’re just making too much of it

I root for them for two simple reasons: (1) they played for Rutgers and (2) they both come across as likeable kids

think you need to just let it go
