Roll Call and advice: USCe baseball games

The wife and I will be there for the Saturday game. She bought us tickets back in Feb as a birthday surprise. She won't tell me how much she spent on them, back when no one was sure how/if capacities would open up.

I was able to find out that they serve beer. The last time I attended a decade ago they didn't sell sunflower seeds, which is sacrilegious. I was unable to determine whether they permit small coolers or not. Does anyone know?

We're going up Saturday morning and leaving Sunday. Any Columbia lunch recommendations close to the park?

Anything else I need to know? I'd set up THE blue tent but they aren't allowing them, per their 2021 guidelines.

Pawley’s Front Porch isn’t too far away. It was on DD&D. Really good burger. I know you said lunch, but Al’s Upstairs in West Columbia across the river is a great dinner restaurant.

Off, what were they thinking when they chose where to build the park. It's in an industrial area a few blocks from an old strip mine.

If you want something close to the park, Thirsty Fellow and Palmetto Pig BBQ are good spots. You can also go to 5 points for Pawley's as previously mentioned, great burgers or Grouchos is you want sandwiches (get the STP). Village Idiot pizza is also good and close to the stadium (couple locations).

If you want a great brunch, Cafe Strudel just across the river is excellent. And if you're going out for drinks or anything, go to the Vista. Should be plenty of spots with outdoor spaces. Tin Roof usually has live music.

Can't help on much regarding baseball. I moved several years ago so I haven't been to a game there in quite a while.

All of what Columbiadawg and MC mentioned are good choices. I tend to stay away from 5 points these days and prefer the Vista area. Although Pawley's FP is good the parking sucks and the crime in the area is enough for me to find somewhere else to go. Lots of choices for various types of food and drink in the Vista though.

If you're doing brunch on Sunday, Di Pratos is my favorite spot. Dat **** is goooood.

I actually hadn't even thought about that. We have seats behind the third base dugout. Do I get free chat if the cameras show me wearing it?

We never went when we lived in Irmo. We went to Motor Supply several times instead. Did we miss out?

I actually forgot about Motor Supply and that's an excellent brunch spot. Di Pratos is about the same but they have this homemade pimento cheese dip and these fried pita chips that are like crack.

I will be there all weekend. No coolers allowed that I am aware of, never seen one. I was just there 2 weeks ago for an arky game. in addition to what is mentioned below:
1. Hometeam BBQ; I don't think Palmetto pig is open on Sunday: https://hometeambbq.com/location/columbia/
2. Henry's on Devine Street: https://henrysgrillandbar.com/ This is a top spot, everything on the menu is really good and allot of food.
