Dont think he'll be back.
Fred signed another kid because he knows Roby is gone. All it will take for Roby to sneak in to the 1st round is one GM to like him. Despite some of his critics, he really is a freakish athlete with really good ball skills for his size. It would have been fun to see him play for Hoiberg.

He won’t be the highest drafted Husker.I'd have to assume, he would be the highest drafted husker ever if he goes. Wish him the best either way, and if he does go, hope he kills it.

Rich King - 1st round 14th overall 1991
Eric Piatkowski - 1st round 15th overall 1994
Tyronn Lue - 1st round 23rd overall 1998
Dont think he'll be back.
Then he better come back for his senior year so he can go higher in 2020 draft.Laughing

Were you a Jaysker or?Thanks. Historically (and up until now) I haven't followed husker basketball. I'm jumping on the train now though.![]()
Just seeing if the Benedict Jayskers are switching back to true Husker fans now that HCFH is here.leave us out of this....
I've been reading a lot heard about the spurs at 29 too.The Bucks are looking at him at 30.
If something happens to change that, either the Bulls will take him at 38 or the Kings will grab him midway through the second round.
He's gone.
I will say, as a jaysker, I am excited for what the future holds for Nebraska. I want BOTH teams to succeed.Just seeing if the Benedict Jayskers are switching back to true Husker fans now that HCFH is here.
Your expectations for ball skills from a 6-9 player are unrealistic. He can put it on the floor and get to the rim. He can bring the ball up the court against pressure. Obviously he isn't going to do that against an NBA point or off guard, but I've played pick up ball against guys who played the 4 in the NBA and overseas and Roby has a much better handle than they did. IMO though his sheer athletic ability and defense is what will get him on a roster. He'll do great in all of the testing because he is a freak athletically, but once it comes time to show his playing skill... Downhill spiral begins,

I guess we will see. I don’t see it and he’ll probably end up in Europe. I don’t think he’s an NBA player at this point. Part of his problem as probably Tim Miles. No one ever got better under him and it probably hampered his development.

I was with you until you praised his defense. It was awful. He couldn't keep his guy in front of him, always side saddle and go away with because he could block with his length. Of course, just my opinion.
I didn’t reply to you toolbox. Drafted doesn’t mean you make a team. You see a lot of things and not a lot are correctBrotha....he’s about to get drafted. He will be on an a NBA team. It doesn’t matter how you feel about him. I’m seeing 2nd round with a possibility of moving into the 1st round. He will be on a NBA team, period.
Drafted in the 2nd round is not a great deal to be sure. It allows a team to tie up your rights and maybe place you overseas. A friend's kid had to beg the team he signed with as a 2nd rounder to release him after 3-4 years so he could go play in Europe with the team he wanted to play with. He was stuck in Turkey for a while. That said, Roby is a much better player than that kid is and I think he'll make a roster. JMHO. He's a good kid and I hope he has success.I didn’t reply to you toolbox. Drafted doesn’t mean you make a team. You see a lot of things and not a lot are correct
Yep I agree with you. I wish him success as wellDrafted in the 2nd round is not a great deal to be sure. It allows a team to tie up your rights and maybe place you overseas.
