I really like the players but put me on the Ben bandwagon.

Game is in Iowa City, so dude tried to Ricky Davis himself some double-double/triple-double action.
Call me crazy but the ‘yellow’ in these uniforms looks a lot more close to gold and I really like it. Sharp uniforms and good slight move away from ‘yellow’.
What a contrast from earlier years. Good stuff.
Hard to argue with that start to the McCollum era. Fun to watch
Not bad...
Clean up rebounding but that's about it. Still trying to get used to each other and I'm not going to complain about the turnovers.

Its only one half of the first game, a "buy game" at that, but what a huge fricking change from the last X-amount of years of Fran-ball.
The pacing, passing and ball & man movement on offense. And all that defense & rebounding effort??

That was some effort we haven’t seen in a long long time.
Only bad thing is the team lacks a true 5, fun to watch and Stirtz can do it all
I love the innovative usage of analytics with the commitment to D and rotation principles. And they definitely will scrap with anyone.
Interior defense is going to be a problem in the Big Ten
Iowa shot 64% from the field and 57% from 3 on 4-7 shooting. 6 steals and RMU turned it over 13 times to the Hawks' 6.

There will be issues for sure...even Drake can't fix it all but I'm confident Ben has a plan to address that in the offseason and find a way to mitigate it this year.

Defensive effort and results are exponentially better than last year....or almost any of the past 13 years. But interior D looks like it will be a problem when we face teams with legit inside players.
Half court offense is more patient and methodical, but still looks a bit stilted. Somewhat concerning when you consider a lot of these guys have plenty of time on court together. Three-point shooting has been better than expected, and already more fast-break opportunities taken than Doodle expected, given McCollum's reputation as a slow-it-down coach.
But without question, Ol' Doodle's biggest takeaway from the first half; the thing that may be our ace in the hole this season......traveling appears to no longer be against the rules for us!!

The new continuation rule that I wasn't aware of is almost Lebron esque...at the minimum NBA level for sure. But without question, Ol' Doodle's biggest takeaway from the first half; the thing that may be our ace in the hole this season......traveling appears to no longer be against the rules for us!!
Iowa might hold RMU to less total points than IU-Indianapolis scored in either half last night @ Ohio St.

I'm hoping its a lack of focus due to opponent and score but some of these OReb's surrendered to RMU are bit too much like watching a McCaffery team for my liking.

Been around awhile. Pissed about the fee so I've been holding off.
This new format seems to be a cluster compared to the old rivals site.
Banks has awesome athleticism and upside but makes some bad decisions. I guess on and off the court at this point.
