Robert Dillingham will commit tonight @ 7. What are everyone’s predictions on where he will go? Would you rather have him or Wagner, if he was to choose Kentucky?

After last night's fiasco, We need some good news to come our way
Everything is now a fiasco. Today's fiasco of somebody lying in regards to whether CAL was at the draft coupled with tonight's fiasco of Dillingham either chooses or doesn't choose UK is overtly ridiculous.

If Dillingham chooses UK, fiasco that we are not getting Wagner.
If Dillingham doesn't choose UK, fiasco that CAL not getting the best of the best.

Huge day for Kentucky basketball perception. Imo he’s one of the cooler commits we will have had in a long time. To me he gives off Clarke(RIP), Monk, Wall vibes. Very popular, not the cleanest off the court but good kid, very flashy. I think Clarke would’ve had more success if not for COVID and Devin Askew at PG while the other two were stars obviously.

For people who haven’t seen him play just know it’ll be a relief that after 7 tonight our two commits for 2023 are comfortable with the ball in their hands, good shooters, and smart players. Also assuring is knowing he’s a great finisher at the hoop after his shiftiness gets him there. A PG that can beat his man, shoot the 3, and finish at the rim. BBN should be elated tonight.

It’s modern Murican society man. Everything is either an ish-show or a conspiracy.

If he had not got injured, I think Clarke would have taken over the PG spot because of Askew not being ready, and would have done really well in that role just by getting to the rim and getting the ball to open guys.

Remember when that team beat Morehead by 40 and then Morehead made the tournament? Hard to believe how off the rails that season went.
Team just never gelled. Cal’s usually pretty good at find guys that mesh or work decently with one another. He just missed that year. Happens.

Still not an excuse. But every team has had one of those years where you look great on paper and then just suck.

I don’t know how any of us can recover from last nights draft debacle, but a commitment from Dillingham would be a nice start.

Yes it would. Rumors flying about for a game with IU in Rupp too. Both would signal Cal is either inching back to his old self or change is slowly moving.

I’m not so sure I wouldn’t take Dillingham over Wagner anyway. Both are elite guards, obviously. To me, Dillingham just has another gear that I’m not sure Wagner possesses. Dillingham is the real deal and is flat out electric. Oh and he can shoot the rock.
I will say this...as much as I would like Wagner to come....you DO NOT turn this kid away for any reason.

I agree. Clarke just needed time for his skill development to catch up to his talent. I think it would have taken him a couple of years in or around the NBA (e.g., G-league) but he likely would have gotten there.

And I really like Dillingham’s skill level a lot. I think he will come in with a better combination of ball-handling, shooting and scoring than you usually see from freshman able to play high level Div. I basketball. But, I’m a little leery of his actual playing at UK even if he commits. I don’t have anything really to base that on, just a sense that he wants to move on to the next level as quickly as possible (more so than even typical - which is a lot) and may subsequently take another option even after he commits if he thinks it furthers that purpose.

It’s only a fiasco if you see it that way
