Poor kid doesnt get the college experience even for 6 months. IMO, terrible parenting decision.
Yeah terrible parenting that he continues his development and spends what would be his high school senior season in New Zealand making a million dollars

He wont be making millions of dollars and even if he would, he still misses out on what even a little bit of college provides. I think kids should be able to go to whatever league they want to after hs, but not going to college when it's free is bad parenting imo.Yeah terrible parenting that he continues his development and spends what would be his high school senior season in New Zealand making a million dollars

Your opinion is no better than mine on this. Whatever you or I think doesnt impact this kid or any kid. It's my experience that college was fun and I think most 17-18 yr old kids deserve the freedom of being a kid for a few extra months. This guy chose a different path that I think is a result of a terrible parenting choice. HOWEVER, it is New Zealand, and that's one of the most beautiful countries on earth.I said million as in 1 million. After he signs endorsements that number will go up. 6 mos of college provides nothing compared with a year abroad and like I said it’s technically his senior year of hs. Your take is awful if you think that is terrible parenting.
You can’t say they should gob”whatever league after hs” yet “not going to free college is bad parenting” that’s a major contradiction.
Loeliger declined to disclose contract terms, but 247Sports.com reported that Hampton was offered more than $1 million to play in China. Loeliger said his deal in Australia has "other elements" besides just his base salary. He’s being paid $1 million?

College works for most not for all.College isn’t fun for kids who don’t belong there. You act like college is some sort of rite of passage for all. Going to college isn’t “being a kid”. Yes my opinion is better than yours on this bc I never said it’s “bad parenting” to send your kid to college instead of New Zealand. Every person is different.
Sorry but take a poll. If you know you’re going to be a millionaire in 1 year what is better to do with the gap year? Travel and experience culture as you say in “one of the most beautiful countries on earth” while at the same time getting paid huge mastering your skill?Or go to college, make nothing, get up early for class which you may hate, while doing your trade for free? The answer depends on the family and not your experience.
College isn’t for everyone that’s why I said it’s not a rite of passage. Honestly I don’t know why more players the elite players don’t take this path. Please spare me the self righteous garbage that 6 mos of college is the right thing to do and not doing it is “bad parenting”. That’s just typical judgmental baloney get off your high horse.
There would be a posse of pitchforks in Texas right nowI dislike KU and Memphis....but that’s another level of crappy. You don’t go through life burning bridges....you never know when you may need a helping hand on down the road. If this was done to UK there would be an unprecedented social media riot.
The expression asshat comes to mind.RJH had an interview on Barstool radio where he said he has been signed for a month. His dad has been throwing all this **** against the wall for publicity. Hilarious that they went through all the trouble setting up visits and releasing lists just to string all to schools along. Glad he won't be at KU or Memphis.
At least they were courteous enough to cut UK early.
Lol @Nooneputsbabyinacorner what do you think about this new revelation
You’re the true little brother of this board. You get **** on over and over again and come back for more. I at least respect you for coming backLow class move on their part. The dad is a real winner. And by "winner" I mean loser.
:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:Probably waiting to see if Self would have outbid New Zealand.

To be fair, haven't you claimed to feel good about every available player this cycle?I'm feeling good about landing Jalen Wilson. We need perimeter depth with a player that scan score. From what I hear Enaruna may be a year away of being that guy.

He cut Duke because they’re a joke at this point. He cut UK, because that was his school, pending Hagans obviously. It was UK or Professional all along! He cut Duke early because he didn’t want to mess with coach K.
Surprised he went to New Zealand, China had offered 2 million however im sure nz is more American friendly
