Mike Pratt was a class act and a very good basketball player for UK on the teams that included Dan Issel and others. An excerpt below from a Uk web site:
“A two-time first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection by the league's coaches (1969, '70), Pratt was named an Academic All-American in 1970. He helped lead UK to three SEC championships and two Elite Eight appearances, finishing the regular season ranked No. 1 his senior season.”
Later he became color analyst on UK radio broadcasts for many years.
RIP Mr. Pratt, well done!

You know……I can’t help but wonder who UK will tap to be the color analyst. They’ll have big shoes to fill, that’s for sure. Pratt was so loved by BBN.

RIP Mike Pratt.

I would suggest everyone listen to Leach Report from yesterday. He had Cal, Host, Hacker on...stories and such. It was really good, sad and had to be tough on Tom. God Bless.

Mike Pratt was not only a great Kentucky basketball player, but one of the best color analysts in the field. UK basketball games won’t be the same without him. RIP Mike Pratt! Prayers to his family!

You could hear the disappointment in Pratt’s voice the past two years. I can’t believe Cal made him sit through those two crappy seasons.

RIP Mike.

He sat through a bunch of crappy tubby seasons and coach Gs 2 seasons. Calipari gave him the only 4 final fours and national title he got to call as a commentator.

Wonder why u didn't mention the tubby years and coach g years. This thread isn't for your ilks BS calipari bashing. Stfu

RIP Mike.

You chose this thread to take a jab at Cal. Pretty low man.

He was probably exhausted working at 70+ years old and battling fatigue. But he still showed up because he LOVED UK basketball and what he did.

We should all be so lucky and passionate.

Basketball won’t be the same this year. I hope we do something special for him this year.

I’m so tired of losing people man. I lost my mom in 2019. I lost one of my music mentors 10 mon5hs after that. Lost my uncle in 2020. Lost my dog in 2021. Lost Coach Hall and now Mike Pratt.

I know some of it is just life but damn it sucks. Especially so when they’re good people. And you walk outside 5he next day to hear a 8 year old kid dropping every curse bomb known to man.
