One of the greatest Wildcats to ever perform in front of us.

He will be missed greatly on the radio team.

How does he rank against Jerry Bird, another great #22?

Didn't get to see him play, only read about it and hear stories.

Loved his input as a color commentator though.

Nothing I could put into words would do justice to explain how sad this is. As many have said, he was a great human and a class act in every way. RIP Mike Pratt and many many prayers for you.

RIP Mike. Always loved your exuberance while playing for UK, or as an announcer. You definitely will be missed. :(

RIP Mike. Life is bigger than sports. Here to share a little love from the west for someone who was both a great player and broadcaster!

I grew up listening to UK on the radio and specifically Pratt and Issel …my father lived and breathed with their every play …it’s why I got connected and have loved UK ever since …RIP Mike Pratt
Same here. As well as enjoying the post game with Cawood and Rupp. Felt like a gut punch when I read this post. RIP #22.

I had a bad feeling after Matt Jones asked for lots of prayers earlier this week. Could just hear it in his voice.

We will miss you Mike. A lot. Go rest well in the Father.

Thank you for being witch the program for these many years and giving us lots of laughs with Oscar Combs.

This upcoming season will not be the same with without him.

Horrible news. Really a gentleman and loved listening to him when I'd chance driving home from practice or a game. Always tough to lose someone. Prayers to his family.

Leach had me cutting onions in the car at the end of his show. Just something about hearing the emotion in someone’s voice when they speak of someone they loved hits hard.

Mike Pratt (and Dan Issel) would be stars and Fan Favorites if they played today. They both oozed with class, and yet they were ferocious competitors who would eat your heart.

RIP Mike.
Big Blue Nation is better because you are part of us forever.
I don't know how you fill that color radio position. He is irreplaceable.

And this is why I get pissy when people crap on Mintz. I love that kid. Always played hard for us. Knew what it meant to play at UK.

Now I’m tearing up again.

Considering you know who we should appreciate players like Mintz a heck of a lot more just for simply putting on that uniform. Of course this isnt about that though.

All I can say is THANK YOU, Mike Pratt. You knew how to make the game come through the radio as if I was just sitting in the bleachers listening to you discuss the game. Anyone can talk, but the ability to truly make the game come to life through only your words is an ability that most don't have.

RIP MIKE PRATT

I hate this. UK basketball wont be the same. I’m tired of losing people I like.

I grew up listening to Caywood calls of UK when Mike played. I used to keep score laying on the floor listening to the games.
Although I never met him in person, he like so many UK players were my hero’s and players I wanted to emulate.
It makes me proud he was a Wildcat and that so many of us will remember him as the legend he was for Kentucky.
He was a buckeye by birth but a Wildcat by the grace of God!! RIP Mr Pratt!!
