Man, this one stings......I was a huge Kiss fan growing up and Ace was my favorite of the group......One last Rocket Ride for the Spaceman......Had this poster in my room when I was 10......
First concert 1978 in Philly. Thought the spaceman blowing up the guitar was so cool.
Same. My uncle who was older was a huge KISS fan which got me into them. Followed them pretty closely and saw them several times in the 80s. Then the reunion in 1996 in Tupelo.

Yep, I saw them in '96 in Tupelo and saw them the previous week in Memphis at the Pyramid........Probably seen them 5 or 6 times since but those were w/o Ace and Peter and while the KISS shows are legendary and still great it's just not the same w/o Peter and Ace...............
Sad that Ace won't be there for the Kennedy Awards for KISS on December 7. Let's hope the other 3 make it a few more weeks.
I read that he fell at his studio and hit his head causing a brain bleed. He’d been on life support for a while.
I saw them in Jackson Coliseum (when it was still orange and yellow) in December 1976, damn that was almost 49 years ago. We were standing against the glass doors outside and when they opened them we sprinted to the floor and were about 8-10 people away from the stage. You could feel the heat when Gene walked out to the edge and spit fire. He spit "blood" a time or two and during the final song (Rock & Roll All Night) before the encore, Ace broke his guitar and threw the 2 pieces into the crowd. A 14 year old kid from South MS had never seen anything like that before. I can't tell you what I had for lunch yesterday but I remember important stuff like that like it was a week or two ago. Dr Hook opened for them and I thought they were turrible.......
Ace was by far the wittiest and funniest of the group...........Go the the :44 second Mark and listen to Ace being interviewed by Tom Snyder and Ace tells him him "I'm a plumber".........It's hilarious and he had the most infectious laugh..........
