I saw them in Jackson Coliseum (when it was still orange and yellow) in December 1976, damn that was almost 49 years ago. We were standing against the glass doors outside and when they opened them we sprinted to the floor and were about 8-10 people away from the stage. You could feel the heat when Gene walked out to the edge and spit fire. He spit "blood" a time or two and during the final song (Rock & Roll All Night) before the encore, Ace broke his guitar and threw the 2 pieces into the crowd. A 14 year old kid from South MS had never seen anything like that before. I can't tell you what I had for lunch yesterday but I remember important stuff like that like it was a week or two ago. Dr Hook opened for them and I thought they were turrible.......
