Barnes was the only hire our former AD got right. We are grateful to have him. Tip of the hat to UK. Damn good game. See y'all in the Final 4.
I'll believe in Rick Barnes when I see him reach the Final Four. Don't lose to teams like Loyola and maybe just maybe I will.
Barnes was a lot better coach at Texas than his replacement and a lot better coach at Tennessee than the guy that left. He seems like a likeable guy. I just hate the way a few of his players play . Flopping is bad for the game of basketball and they have a 240 lb guy that goes down like he is shot about 20 times a game.
He's pretty good, but you can suck rod for the woodchipper comment.
UT doesn't really care about that. Win a couple of NCAA games and beat UK 2 out of 3 and they are in hog heaven.

As much as I hate to say it, if it works and the refs fall for it, then you FLOP all day long. The job of the coach is to coach his team to win. Coaches argue calls that they know were not incorrect, but do it just to get in the ear of the official. It's smart coaching IMO.

I despise Tennessee as much as any UK fan. I give credit where credit is due. I remember Rick Barnes developing players like TJ Ford, KD, LaMarcus Aldridge, etc. I apologize for the wood chipper comment. We will be fine. This might have been the best loss of the season for us. GO BLUE!!
Barnes has definitely caught lightening in a bottle. The test will be 5 years from now if people are still saying he’s a great coach. What has he done at Tennessee in the tourney? Zilch
