"You won't ever have to worry about the DL as long as I'm here"

"Our DL is going to be hell on wheels, watch"

Once again, Rhule's ego has gotten the best of him. First it was his defense of the Jeff Sims transfer, then it was his defense over keeping Satterfield as the OC, and now it's his defense of our MAC-level DL room.

His ego will lead to the downfall of his tenure here at Nebraska.

Or his 71-83 career record?

Notice how no one has offered a counterargument to my point. I absolutely believe that Rhule is a good man off the field, but he definitely has an ego when it comes to his personnel decisions on the field. He kept Jeff Sims on the field until he got injured. He defended Satterfield until our season was heading into a full-on freefall. And I guarantee you that he'll be calling this D-Line a good unit until late in the season when we're sitting at 5-6 or 6-5.

There is no counter-argument to be made. One of two things will happen:

1) the defense turns in around, posters will say I told you so

2) the defense continues to look abysmal, posters will say it was always going to be a rebuilding year.

then there’s the fun third possibility, where the wheels completely fall off, and everyone will claim to have hated Rhule the entire time and how they always knew this would happen

Because your argument is invalid and your post is a pitiful attempt at trolling.

Good day

Even in the pre-NIL era, winning 6 or 7 games in Year 3 would have your seat on fire unless you took over a 1-11/2-10 program with zero appeal to recruits. It's winning time this season, and anyone saying otherwise gets an A+ in the goalpost moving department. This season is an absolute failure if we don't finish at least 8-4. And I promise you that the best players on our team feel the exact same way. Say goodbye to Dylan, EJ, Barney, Hunter, and others if we finish 7-5 or worse.

Matt has a history of defending things that are obviously broken. Satterfield, Foley, etc. Insecure coaches do. The more he hyped Nelson RB, the more I realized he was probably not very good. It’s not an ego, it’s a defense mechanism. They over compensate so they don’t have to face the truth. One of my favorite old school hip-hop lines “real gangster don’t flex nuts cause real gangsters know they got them”

Good coaches generally never brag in public. Think of things Saban used to say in his press conferences and you’d roll your eyes cause you knew he was downplaying. Tom did it to, to some degree. Im old enough to remember Lou Holtz at ND when they’d be like #1 and playing 0-8 William & Mary, he’d be like “I don’t know how we don’t get embarrassed Saturday, we can’t do anything right”.

Rhule’s just very insecure. Always has been. How could a coach that’s lost way more games than he’s won this far into his career not be? Best we can hope for is he wins, so it doesn’t factor

After reading what you posted above. I won’t open any attachments you send. You seem to have some strange fantasies about some gay stuff. Strong pass. But you do you
Everyone knows you looked.

also hilarious that you outed yourself as being broke and gay, all in one thread

He isn't a good man off the field. I mean he is just a man, a man who loves attention, power, and money. The worse thing is...he isn't a good ceo or coach...so we will waste 65 million and have another huge buyout coming by 2026.

You couldn't have summarized my thoughts on him any better than this.

Also, great point on his defense Nelson - he did the exact same thing with Ives, who is still RB4 in his third year with the program.

Do you think that a DL that just allowed a 3 or 4 win Big 12 team to average seven yards a carry is a good one?
5 wins, but no one is saying Cincy is a world beater. While you're quoting stats what were Rhule's stats third season at Temple and Baylor? And when did Cincy get those yards? First half when NU's thin DL was fresh? Nope, after the backups had more playing time.

This board would be so much more enjoyable without the constant drivel from the trolls.
