And he is batting cleanup in the World Series and you lead off with “if he doesn’t learn to hit major league pitching, he won’t be in the league for long”. Do they normally put poor hitters in the cleanup spot in the World Series? There must be some reason he’s there.
I agree. The strikeouts and home runs, along with the boredom that comes with it, combined with the velo era and injured pitchers, will eventually wear out. I think people want to see hits and actual defense again.Bill James killed baseball. I still think the trend will revert eventually.
Yes, they found a hole in his swing in an abbreviated season without much of a chance to fix it. He's adjusted to everything along the way and have no doubt he will figure this one out as well.
