There are so many good 3B in the game today. He’s right at the top of that list.

Good day for Mike Trout

Contracts are beyond crazy. Rendon is a great player as is Gerritt Cole but a few hundred million between them?

Lots of smoke that the cubs are going to deal Bryant this offseason. Hard for me to imagine that but I’d be ok with it, as a cards fan!

I’ve heard several cubs might be on the move. The last I read they were saying the odds were better than 50/50 that KB would be moved. I’d love to have Arenado in St Louis, he’s the best glove man I’ve seen at 3B since Scott Rolen. The good thing about the Rockies just signing him to a long term deal is the acquiring team probably wouldn’t have to give up as much as long as they assume the whole of the contract. With the depth at 3B the cards have in A-AA I’d dangle one and see what else they wanted. I’m pretty sure though they’d ask for Hudson, his sinker would be ideal in the Denver elevation.

It’d be a smart move, think he’s still got 2 years of club control unless he wins his grievance against the Cubs for delaying his call up by 20 days to get another year of control. I’ve heard the Nats are hoping to sign Donaldson to replace Rendon.

It wouldn’t bother me to see the cubs ship some guys off. I just have a hard time believing it until i see it. They still have a very good nucleus that could make a run. But like I said, I sure hope they do trade some. Bryant in that Braves lineup would probably be scary good.

About Arenado, no doubt it would be awesome to see him with the cards. I do wonder what all it would take to get him. I’d probably be willing to part with Hudson but no way I’d trade flaherty, which I could see them asking for. I did read where Arenado has an option in his contract in 2021 that would allow him to opt out. I would imagine that option could limit some return for the Rockies.

I’m with ya, I’d hate to lose Hudson but I’d move him for Arenado. Also agree that Flarety should be untouchable

Hopefully rendon can pitch because him and trout aren't cant win anything until that's addressed. They're still the 3rd maybe 4th best team in AL west with no pitching and one of the worst farm systems in baseball. I've yet to be convinced one of these type of contracts have worked for any team and they have 3 of them.
