From John Rothstein with CBS. Wow. That's a Top 15 player in the country.
Thatta boy, Howland!

Recruiters recruit. Amazing he attracts top 20 talent to state at the rate he has. Let's get some W's now.
this guy is from GA, does that not count?
I don't see Woodard as a 2 at all, but I think message board posters get too caught up in positions. The game has changed a lot the past 20 years.

There are really only three positions. Point, perimeter, and post. Maybe you call a guy competent to be a secondary ball handler a SG, and a guy big enough to rebound but not adapt at putting his back to the basket a SF, but it's really mix and match as long as you have a point, two perimeter players, and one post player. Within those constraints, you can have pretty much any combination (PG, SF, SF, SF, Post or Pg, SG, SG, Post, Post are both workable options). it's certainly easier on the coach though if you have players that can play at different positions.
It's an awesome pickup. When you think about it Only Dan Mullen has had trouble at times recruiting to Starkville. Cohen/Canni doesn't, Howland doesn't, Schaefer doesn't.
Howland is gonna Howland
Dan has brought in the best recruiting classes in our football program's history, too!
I'm getting close to pulling a Gene Swindoll and asking for your name, first born, and phone number to prove you are a state fan.
Will he be a starter this coming season? Admittedly, I don't keep up with basketball that much so I have no idea who's already at his position.
Well if he isn't a starter for his high school team this coming season, then I don't know why he's a five star.
