Go crush the portal, hire 2 new assistants that can bring something new (would like one the new hires to have an NBA background), and let's see what we can do. Hope to finish with a FF or a title.

I just can’t see Antonio leaving on a 1-15 performance, he will be a huge part of next years team, especially with us finally having guards who can beat guys of the dribble giving him wide open looks

Of course he didn’t Calipari doesn’t practice what he tries to do today at all; and just wants it done to bail him out late. We don’t prime our shooters or make it a focal point.

Hell we will probably have a 10 man roster again next year. Cow never learns. Injuries year after year and we always leave scholly unused.
The part that kills me is the games we lost it was often 3s that finished us off. Them hitting and us missing. Who's shooting 3s for us next year? I've seen on here that Wagner and Dilly both struggle from deep and I assume they will be out there a lot.
Cow is gonna play the same way he has like it was 20 years ago. Cow's eyes light up at physical attributes and he seems to not pay attention to 3 point prowess. So a bunch of length and athletes again next year that end the season 4 of 20 from deep.

I would like him to come back, but it's all talk right now. We hear the same broken record every year from player's. I won't be holding my breath.
The Arkansas game was the Reeves we hoped to see all season. And of course he played his worse game of the year at the worst time.
Most of the shots weren't even THAT far off. Just seemed like a fluke. I'm sure nerves played a role but bad luck was a lot of it, too.
I was dismayed by what happened but literally EVERY open 3 that Reeves or Fredrick took this year I wanted them to shoot. I always felt like things would finally turn in our favor.

I agree with you 110% the 2015 game was atrocious due to 4 missed shot clock violations the refs deliberately didn't call and fouls on Kat.
Up six points with 4 minutes to go and Calipari not going to Ulis to handle the ball after the Harrison twins allowed three straight shot clock violations. Wisconsin looked defeated and rightfully so. Instead of Calipari making the right adjustments, his stubbornness cost is the perfect season.
Imagine going 40-0 while beating Duke to boot. Calipari was mentally ruined after that game and has never recovered because the last eight years is proof.
It sucks knowing we have to go through another 4 years of him due to the worst business decision ever by giving him that contract. In the real world, Mitch would have been fired by now. All of talent with only one title to show for it.

And 2014 and 2015 were very special seasons even if they came up short.
I don't regret the Cal era.
Only regret that Barnhart gave him unlimited power/money and that Cal didn't hold up his end of the deal.
So what you do is have quality depth so that you can tell Reeves "take a seat" and let someone else get their shot. You would do that, but not Cal. He doesn't want to take anyway anyone's heart.

We were all fooled by Cal. We saw his success masked by good basketball talent. If a Coach really wanted to win here, they would replicate success. Have starting players come back for next year. Platoon if necessary. Cal only cares about who he can get to the NBA. I don't know why he just won't retire from coaching and become an NBA Agent.
