How freaking depressing is that? Absolutely unacceptable.2 KY boys could have made a big difference but they will both be at Kansas.

I remember being pissed we didn’t land Hopson since I thought he was a baller and we have a similar last name. He never really turned into anything special at Tennessee jf my memory is correct. Wasn’t he like a top 10 5 star?-If Potter wasn't from Kentucky would you still want him over Brandon Garrison? As a freshman at Big 12 Oklahoma State, Garrison had better stats than Reece Potter ever did at MAC Miami of Ohio.
-There’s been several Kentucky-born kids that have been really good. HOWEVER, typically they leave to go to better programs (D'Angelo Russell, Jasper Johnson,Taylin Kinney, Tyron Stokes, etc.). They don't stick around to play against Kentucky schools, due to the lack of talent in the state. Reed and Malachi are the first McDonald's All-American from the state to spend all four years in the state since Scotty Hopson (2008).
Yeah right. You can pencil us in to win the Big Blue Invitational or whatever the hell it’s called. That’s no small task. lol I just can’t.I mean cool? We aren't winning anything that matters with these guys.
Here's a look at his career at Tennessee ...I remember being pissed we didn’t land Hopson since I thought he was a baller and we have a similar last name. He never really turned into anything special at Tennessee jf my memory is correct. Wasn’t he like a top 10 5 star?
Appreciate it. Yeah 12 & 3 career. I remembered correct. Solid but nothing special. He should have been a lot better than that or I at least thought he would have been. Thanks again for the link. Here's a look at his career at Tennessee ...

Gotcha. Sounds about right. Thank ya sir.2018-2019. The season before the canceled tournament season.
I'm not sure, but I think Kenny Higgs (Owensboro) and Rudy Macklin (Lou Shawnee) played together at LSU for a while.2 KY boys could have made a big difference but they will both be at Kansas.
I certainly hope he grows into an impact player but if the staff thought he was a legit backup center next year Pope wouldn’t be flying to Israel to recruit oneThe RP that played at Miami of Ohio will not be the one at UK next year. 1/12 years of good nutrition and muscle building will make him stronger. Now his skill level has three pluses 7’2”. You can’t teach, good hands, and can shot the 3 close to 40%. Kentucky is not for everyone but in his case he ha 2 choices, sit at Miami or try for the big time.. Be an inspiration instead of an afterthought. He’s not here for money, he’s here for us. Rember that BBN
What hate? Huh??Reality: you are basing this assumption on pure hate. You have no knowledge of his abilities.
Yeah, the hate part was probably out of line. I shouldn't have said that. Around here it's usually a safe assumption. I'm sorryWhat hate? Huh??
14 minutes his frosh year. Over 17 his sophomore year. He will be in his fourth year. Is he a P4 starter? Likely not. Can he give you 12 minutes per game. That would be ideal. Kind of like Jasper Johnson. Heck, Johnson only got 15 minutes per game in FIBA comp on a team of like age players and people thought he was coming here to be a star in year one. Having Reece on the team may be a great addition if he can give some quality relief to Mal Moreno.Excellent question:
His first year at Miami of Ohio, he was tenth on the team in minutes per game.
His sophomore year at Miami of Ohio, he was eighth on the team in minutes per game.
I guess you could accurately state “in the extended rotation.” At a MAC school.
Many here are living in a fog or dream world. They want 5 stars to back up 5 stars. That was 96 not under NIL in 2026. Just think how desperate LSU must be with only one person and no center, period. . 6’8” center in the SEC starting.
And that's a positive in and of itself?!?Ky now has 4 Kentucky natives on the roster - 1 Mr Ky & 3 Runner ups - 2 Sweet 16 MVP‘s & 1 All A MVP.
Potter has put on25 pounds of muscles. He was 210 but now 240. UK not for everybody
Jesus man let up. Exhausting. Give him a chance to show what he can do in his back up role. He got some skill. Hometown kid. Easy to pull for.Yeah, not for players that want to win anything that matters in the present day. And ur ok with that.
