Don't know if it was even in the cards, but Rhule should have tried to keep Ajay in the fold. He looked like NU's most talented back last year before he got injured.

I am sure he tried to keep him. But, oh well. I support the dudes that stayed. Even the guys that move on after this season, I appreciate that they stayed and tried to give it a go….

So the assumption is that Rhule didn't try? Why?

Allen was committed to TCU and Coach Applewhite. When Applewhite came to NU Ajay came with him. When Applewhite wasn't retained, Allen wanted to go somewhere else. I doubt there was much Rhule could have done.

For some reason people refuse to acknowledge this scenario. Like it is shocking a kid from Louisiana who chose NU for one reason left when the situation changed.

I knew and get all that. That was not my point, kids have their reasons, we will never know all of them. My point is why lay the blame at Rhules feet that he didn't try to keep him.

Saw his interview with him on big red wrap up. Having said that I'm surprised he's that much of a lean to NU but I'd take him. Sounds like he worked hard to correct some throwing mechanics over the years
