N was in on this lineman.

Nebraska hasn't been in contact with him since Frost was fired.

I follow South Dakota high school football due to having friends who have kids who play for Yankton. I’ve never heard of this guy. Quietest 4 star ever.
yes, since he's the #1 recruit in the state, you'd think he'd be known to dakotans. of course, no one ever heard of cooper beebe when either corcoran went N.

Still never heard of him. Not a knock on the kid. Brix is just a higher priority. Also pretty sure the thread name is Recruiting updates Brix trending N. Maybe you should go celebrate the unknown fella on the kitties board?

Says he committed as a PWO. A 4 start committing as a PWO to a team with only 10 commits in the class. Hmm..

He's a 5.6 3-star. I believe he also missed the season with back surgery and considered wrestling instead of playing football in college. I good get for a walk-on, but that's about it.

247 has him as a composite 3 star, too. But there's also a 4-star rating here, so...huh.

He’s never had a committable scholarship offer from NU.
Kinda my thoughts. I think kstate realizing they're not in on brix and moving on. For clarification, what I mean by full is there's bigger fish we think we're in on and would make room for. This kid isn't in it

Weird for that K-State fan on here to crow about getting a walk-on.

he's a walk-on because his scholarship will be under a 'first nation' provision saving that athletic scholarship for an additional athlete.

Cool story. But why post it here? No one cares about KSU walk-on’s.

K-State can have our rejects.
They sure aren't getting brix. They be Charlie brown though....I got a rock. I have to buy DVD to watch tonight...in 15 minutes or whenever the wife gets x box to play it...since no peanuts on tv anymore

Nyan Boateng. WR ended up going to FL and then transferred to Cal Berkley.
Nope. It was Tommy Zbikowski. Tommy wins because we had his sister on the Red Sea Scrolls as a paid member giving “winks” every time someone would ask if Tommy was a silent commit. It sent the masses in here into an absolute six to noon every single time.

Nyan was a figment of our imagination that gained legs through H3 or Sam-I-Am insinuating it might be true.

But the Tommy’s sister induced power boners were legendary.

Good luck with that kid😉. Raiola didn’t want him and Rhule agreed.
some guessing that he moves to defensive tackle because of his wrestling pedigree (5x state champion) although he's very close with conor riley, k-state's o'line coach. we'll just have to see how it turns out or if he flips back to N the last minute.

I'd forgotten about that! That sister played RSS like a fiddle for attention. I still remember her goodbye post talking about how we have nothing to worry about because we're Nebraska and everything will be fine.

If they don’t have to spend a football scholarship on him good for them. Hopefully he can get a degree.

He can't flip back to NU. He was never committed here, we aren't recruiting him, and haven't been.

I remember the Tommy sister story. Looking back, it was probably just a pretty good troll by someone. LOL

"Schunke held offers from other Power 5 schools such as Tennessee, Auburn, Nebraska and Wisconsin but will be a preferred walk-on at Kansas State. The people within the program that he met made the difference in his decision."

What a joke. While that is a nice list of self-reported offers, the reality is Nebraska wasn't recruiting him and hasn't been in contact with him since Frost was fired.

Do you really think he could have had a scholarship at any of those schools and actually chose to walk-on at KSU? If you do, I have a bridge to sell you.

Offers are self reported and there’s no way he was the #1 recruit in South Dakota according to multiple people who have watched him in person. Somebody would need to light a giant fire under his *** just to make sure he showed up.

as i wrote previously, he comes to k-state on a 'first nations' scholarship which would have been the case anywhere if the athletic department had a wits end.

The article you shared said" preferred walk-on." But it also said he had an offer from Nebraska, so it is clearly garbage.

Also, you can't be on any other type of scholarship other than a football scholarship once you play in a game. So if he ever actually plays, he will become a football scholarship.

So he's good enough to get a scholarship to multiple SEC and Big Ten programs, but not good enough for an offer from K-State. Makes sense 😆
you seem lost here and i'm not going to annoy others by continuing to try an explain it to you.
