VZ talking WRs
No mention of Coach Bud.Awesome, thanks for posting this much appreciated
To actually say Iowa fans deserve an improved passing game, requires one to make a huge leap in overall reasoning.Really hoping this is the room that turns around our passing game. We've waited so long for a functional pass, Iowa fans deserve an improvement.
Pass the ball!
That is one of the dumbest things I’ve read on this site and that is saying something. Congrats….To actually say Iowa fans deserve an improved passing game, requires one to make a huge leap in overall reasoning.
First, one has to show that an improved passing game would actually lead to more wins.
Because, if it's going to be argued that fans deserve anything at all, it has to be wins. Fans don't ever deserve to be more entertained, because the players and coaches aren't playing for the purpose of entertaining fans.
Or, of course, you could be admitting that you have the same wrong priorities that have led to the football program being wrongfully criticized for years. It wouldn’t be the first time you've done so, without even knowing.
It's not necessarily easy to establish that an improved passing game will result in more wins. Certainly, the correlation isn't as strong as fans believe it to be. For decades, Iowa has won about the same number of games per year, regardless of how good their passing game has been.
Secondly, you would also have to establish that Iowa football fans deserve more winning.
To me, I don’t see how Iowa fans have been anything but blessed, for a long, long time.
Certainly, no conversation about Iowa winning more, as a program, is at all legitimate without KF having brought the program to its current level.
I guess it's possible for coaches to, at times, end up being a victim of their own success.
But that's nothing close to establishing that Iowa fans "deserve" more winning
What's dumb about it??That is one of the dumbest things I’ve read on this site and that is saying something. Congrats….
What don’t you understand about players wanting to play in a system that shows off their skills and abilities to go make millions at the next level, you know, the NFL? If Iowa’s passing game is crap to wide receivers, that is going to affect recruiting in all the other areas….qb, rb, offensive line, tight end as well. Top level talent in each room won’t be maxed out with the best Iowa can get. Iowa gets good players but the great players want to play in systems that stretch the field and use their athletic abilities to maximum potential. Look at Iowa losing out to Missouri for that 4 star out of TN. He went there due to NIL and their offensive scheme with wide receiver play and focus. That’s an afterthought at Iowa or perception, which leads to close but no cigar when it comes to top level wr recruits. Change that narrative and all things change for Iowa in all things on the offensive side of the ball.To actually say Iowa fans deserve an improved passing game, requires one to make a huge leap in overall reasoning.

Iowa could have been Indiana a few short years ago with those three years of top level defenses but they didn’t have the offenses to compete for a national championship. Why? Because KF didn’t and still doesn’t look at the offense like Curt Cignetti does. You put CC with Phil Parker and Iowa is in the play offs, potentially playing for a national championship during those years.
If you can’t figure it out that’s on you. And to save you time and energy what ever response you write (which god knows you will because you can’t not have the last word) it will do nothing to change mine or anyone else’s opinion rather do what it always does solidify one’s stance against yours. What's dumb about it??

but go ahead and type away and try again to derail another thread. Good day
whatever response you write (which god knows you will because you can’t not have the last word)
Oh FFS, an undefeated national Championship Is the only standard KF cn be judged against ? Lol, piss off. by that standard every coach in the nation for the last fifty years is a failure. What don’t you understand about players wanting to play in a system that shows off their skills and abilities to go make millions at the next level, you know, the NFL? That's the sole reason college football exists my man. Entertainment pays the bills. Take fans and TV away and watch how quickly it ceases to exist.Fans don't ever deserve to be more entertained, because the players and coaches aren't playing for the purpose of entertaining fans.
How about a playoff appearance? Is that too much to ask of KirkOh FFS, an undefeated national Championship Is the only standard KF cn be judged against ? Lol, piss off. by that standard every coach in the nation for the last fifty years is a failure.
Iowa is one of four programs to win 8+ over the last decade along with Bama, Georgia and Ohio State. And we get garbage posts like this.
It really just depends on what you want.Oh FFS, an undefeated national Championship Is the only standard KF cn be judged against ? Lol, piss off. by that standard every coach in the nation for the last fifty years is a failure.

You’re a troll who would beech no matter what KF did. iowas a state of 3 million and is not a blue blood. Iowa could very easily become Nebraska or Minnesota. How about a playoff appearance? Is that too much too ask of Kirk
Find a mirror. Your answer lies within. What's dumb about it??
Indiana just won a national championship. You’re a troll who would beech no matter what KF did. iowas a state of 3 million and is not a blue blood. Iowa could very easily become Nebraska or Minnesota.
And.Indiana just won a national championship.
The "little ole Iowa" gimmick has always been ********And.
Well I mean, it wouldn't cease to exist. It'd just go the way of NAIA, JUCO, D3, etc etc which is just glorified HS football and a babysitter for misfit athletes. That's the sole reason college football exists my man. Entertainment pays the bills. Take fans and TV away and watch how quickly it ceases to exist.
Indiana is the first and Only team since 1894 with 16-0 NC , every other coach in history is a failure in comparison. Nice garbage argument. Iowa is a state of 3 million and not a blue blood. Donate a few million to nil bubThe "little ole Iowa" gimmick has always been ********
Apparently, Alabama's extra 2 million people makes a huge difference in how successful they are in college football........................Indiana is the first and Only team since 1894 with 16-0 NC , every other coach in history is a failure in comparison. Alabama is a blue blood and historically paid players huge amounts illegally. So yea Iowa and bama are not an even playing field.Apparently, Alabama's extra 2 million people makes a huge difference in how successful they are in college football........................
"Well but they're a blue blood"
So was Nebraska...............
Yes, you could put Iowa in that group based solely on that one fact. It won’t stop the majority of the nation from laughing at you for trying to put Iowa on those other teams level.Iowa is one of four programs to win 8+ over the last decade along with Bama, Georgia and Ohio State. And we get garbage posts like this.
It’s a mathematical level Iowa has achieved, it doesn’t mean Iowa has won a NC or is a blue blood. it does mean Iowa is a solid consistent winning program , more so than all but three teams Over a decade. I don’t scoff at 9 wins, again, Iowa could go years without winning nine once KF hangs it up.Yes, you could put Iowa in that group based solely on that one fact. It won’t stop the majority of the nation from laughing at you for trying to put Iowa on those other teams level.
This post is a national treasure.Indiana just won a national championship.

Again, just make a 12 team playoff. Iowa would’ve made it zero times since 2016.Indiana is the first and Only team since 1894 with 16-0 NC , every other coach in history is a failure in comparison. I am delusional that Indiana did, indeed, win a natty?Delusional
It's like these people are scared to see Iowa play modern football. They can’t break my heart if they play by the same rules we had before NIL (and the forward pass).Again, just make a 12 team playoff. Iowa would’ve made it zero times since 2016.
Are you having trouble with reading comprehension? We wouldn’t have been a top 12 team since 2016.playoffs were four teams until 24-25.
oh the horror, we weren’t a top four team since 2016. Iowa hasn’t been a top four team in 66 years.
Indiana put together the best season since 1894. Every other program in history is a failure in comparison if that’s your standard.
Troll, playoffs were four teams until 24-25, if you aren’t in the top four it doesnt matter where you are ranked. Are you having trouble with reading comprehension? We wouldn’t have been a top 12 team since 2016.
