Whoever said, "There's no such thing as a moral victory" clearly never went to Rutgers. What would dictate a successful effort tomorrow in your opinion?

1. Don’t get shutout
2. Beat the spread
3. Win the turnover battle and penalty battle (make fewer mistakes than OSU)
4. Have more than one sustained drive that ends in points.
5. Play hard and tough, never let up.

God this is sad but seriously ...

For me if we kept them under 50 and scored a TD... would be great lol...

49-7...

Realistically ... I’ll say 63-0

1. That the weather isn't so ****** that I can't get a perfect cook on my t-bones.
2. That I don't freeze my *** off.

I like this one. Make me want to change my predetermined exit strategy. For a little while at least.
Now that 50/50 collection doesn't have to be on the day of the game, I'm a lot less motivated to stick around for the slaughter.

Try not to get hurt and keep osu under 150 points.

Get the summer clothes packed away, rake some leaves
Laughed out loud at these, will be raking leaves as well, but probably in time to catch the game. Wife just told me she wants to do some returns at Kohl's in the afternoon, yesssssssss!

Actually, just don't want to see one of those 2 minutes spans of time where they score a touchdown, our first play after getting the ball back is a pick 6, followed by another pick six or fumble return for six on the ensuing drive after that kickoff and before we know it we're in the hole we can't get out of in under 5 minutes into the game. I'd prefer a water torture type defeat, spread the 60+ points over the 4 quarters.

Do better than what Maryland did last week

Which was:
42-0 at half
49-0 after 1st possession of 2nd half
73-14 final

Inasmuch as football is a team game, there may be only be small individual victories worth our attention. Maybe a sack or a 20 yard run.

A completed pass over 10 yards
A 20 yard run
A third down conversion or two
A handful of punts for 50+
Any points
An OSU punt
Force a turnover

At least three of the above would be a moral victory in my book at this point.

Bonus: Greg Schiano riding the horse onto the field pregame. Jk. We all know he’s going to HC at Akron instead.

I do want to see a RB with more rushing yds than Our QB. Pass for over 100 yds. Get a sack, force two punts, break two plays or more over 10 yds. Keep them under 30 at half though I had a very clear dream of them getting 28 in 1st qtr...

Convince me not to leave at the end of the 1st quarter.

Many of us have fought the halftime traffic leaving the stadium lots. Surprising how many folks leave at the half.

Now end of first quarter. You’ll breeze home and catch the 2nd half on the big screen.

My hope is for no injuries on either side (I much rather have OSU win the national championship than any SEC team) and for OSU to take it easy on us, the rest of their schedule is brutal. It is best for them to play their 2nd and 3rd strings. They will still beat the spread with their backups.

Beating poor Rutgers at this point by a million points won't move the needle much.

Congratulations to the team and coaches. They did a great job. It’s not their fault that the program is in the shape it’s in.

What are you talking about? Didn’t you see Ash said the program is in better shape now then when he got here? After all I was changing planes in Stockholm and saw a big billboard from Rutgers football!!

Well...the first part’s good. They did do a good job. As for the second part, it kinda is their fault (partially) that the program is such a mess. It’s Ash’s men coaching this team, who recruited these players and did a poor job developing them. It’s some of these players who for whatever reason decided they were more important than the team and didn’t play or even switched sides.

Looks like you got them all, except the bonus. For you, let’s call it a double secret moral victory.
