Ok, now that I can try admit to myself that Frost will never be successful here, who realistically is out there that could deliver the goods? Also needs to be someone that we could entice to come here.

That being said, I know we are stuck with Scott for the near future but who could we get that could deliver at least 6-6?

The coach from Coastal Carolina, his offense and whatever staff he needs to bring

not the first clue who would be a good fit for NEBRASKA, but someone that truly wants a challenge will come here and be successful...it ain’t Frost.

Let Frost coach next year. Then send Moos packing with a six pack and a one way ticket to Wyoming and let the dominos fall from there.

I don’t see how this is Moos’s fault... we ALL thought Scott would be great... moos would have been crucified if he DIDNT hire Scott

Not against Moos and you’re right, we all wanted him. Moos said this week that Frost will be the head coach as long as he’s the AD. So in other words, Moos has to go if we want a new coach in place.

I think I'm on the "Ride Frost Into The Sunset" bandwagon. I can no longer hope that the next coach is the one that will bring us back to dominance. At least you know Frost cares, more than almost any other person we could hire. So maybe he eventually learns how to do it, given enough time, shuffling a few assistants? There's as good a chance of that happening as hiring that diamond in the rough that will magically deliver championships (and stay after he does).

I will catch flack on this, Bohls has built two programs and can recruit since leaving NU, Kleiman kept his dynasty alive at NDSU and has had some success at KSU with a true frosh QB, RB, and receiver. Who ever comes here needs a smash mouth mentality with a serious disciplined attitude. These kids have been weak between the ears for a very long time now.

Yeah, but it was Moos that gave him a totally bogus and unwarranted contract extension. Frost had done zero to deserve his current salary let alone an extension. No other athletic director in America makes that move, it was beyond stupid.

I still like the idea of interviewing Ryan Held.. he's our best recruiter, and that was the exact playbook used when Clemson hired Dabo from within.

Jeff Monken from Army would deliver winning seasons every year here. We'd be disciplined, hard to prepare for, and it would be easier to recruit here the players needed to run that offense. We'll never be able to recruit enough of the skill players we need for Frost's offense here.

No we probably wouldn't compete for championships very often, but we haven't won any championships anyway with the last 4 coaches we've tried. We need to just get back to winning 8-9 games a year again first before we can even think about championships.

Moos isn’t the blame for this maybe you should go all the way back to Eichorst if you think this.

I hate to say this, but it is true. You could hire any good high school football coach and his staff in the Omaha metro and we would see a better product on Saturday. Would we second guess the coach? Sure. Would we call for him to be fired after the first miscue? Of course. But I doubt his coaching would leave us mind-numbingly, slack-jawed at some of the stupidity he was responsible for. Such as throwing the ball all over the yard in 30 MPH wind with a QB having an off day against the worst run defense in the league. Or asking your second string QB who is a suspect passer and prone to interceptions to throw on his first two plays (against the worst run defense in the league).

He gave that extension so that last year’s recruiting class would be salvaged. And look how that turned out for us...

Imagine if they just gave the kids the money instead. That makes me believe that we are being looted by this administration even more.

Scott Frost part 2?

I can see kinda why you say that. But his offense is basically a modern form of Tom Osborne. Heavy run, some option, great passing off of play action.

We aren’t going to win running the same crap as everyone else.

We could be a one loss team if they could throw. We have to have the worst passing offense in the entire power 5

No matter, we’ve been off the map 20 years +. We may have seen the best days with the Bobfather & Dr. Tom. The luster of NEBRASKA and its Lincoln location has faded.

Players want all the comforts of home. Winning programs that advance their careers. Beaches, good weather, places to go, people to see, things to do. Lincoln, not so much.

As I mentioned above, it’s not on Moos. He did what we all wanted. BUT, he’s with Frost as long as he’s the AD. If we ever open up a coaching search in the future, it’s not going to be Moos leading that charge.

In that case he better get another extension really soon, can't have recruits believing he won't be around in a few years(because he has been total dogshit as a coach).

Moos logic.

Couldn't agree more. Was it mistake to give 2 year extension, probably, but it was made to keep recruits. Frost is the issue, not Moos.

Most likely not...2023 the facilities will be finished will either one be here?

Bryan Harsin, Chris Kliemann, Billy Napier all good coaches. We need a solid coach. We need to play fundamentally sound football and go from there.

My guess today, neither will be here. Moos will be drinking and enjoying his retirement in Wyoming and Frost will be an offensive coordinator for a PAC 12 school.

Who is gone first, Frost or Pruitt? Tennessee currently losing to Vandy.

Pretty crazy how similar the Nebraska and Tennessee programs have been the last 25 years. Dominant in the 90s, then fired coaches who won 9-10 games a year, and every coach since cannot get it done....despite having all of the resources and fan support to be successful.

Getting heart broken every week is old but Scott will be here next year. However, his seat will be very hot. I hope he’s up to the task and finishes recruiting strong this year. We need a major kick in the azz talent wise. He’s not delivered on the recruiting front and he desperately needs to. Cheers all...

Pruitt was 8-5 last year with a Gator Bowl win playing in the SEC

If Frost wins 6 or 7 games in year 4 people on here will be taking victory laps

mentioning Pruitt in the same sentence as Frost is a huge slight to Pruitt

Frost will be back next year and with next year's schedule being the toughest on paper that we've had in a while, we're looking at another losing record. So the question is can Frost survive another losing record next year because that is exactly what it's looking like.

Yes. Unless it’s a winless season.
