Yeah, Juco RBs and Scott have been a solid combo. Bell & Mills were some of the best backs in school history
Mills was actually pretty good. Bell wasn’t bad either, just a quitter. People defined him by the fact that he got caught from behind a couple times. Who cares lol… not every RB is a 4.4 guy.
Qualifying issues. He’s not out of the woods yet apparently.
Edit: sounds like I’m wrong and he is out of the woods and starting classes this week. I didn’t read the article.

The article says he's starting classes here this week...not sure how that would be possible if he's not qualified yet.
I really don’t know. But it does seem like JUCO’s have been mostly forgot about with the transfer portal. Could be an opportunity there.
Hopefully he’s not another Gregg Bell. Wasn’t he supposedly the number one juco running Back? I’m just hoping now we have adults coaching and recruiting they’ll be do a better job finding talent
Oh nice. I may have been misinformed then. Maybe he did have qualifying issues but he’s fine now.
Don't know much about the New Mexico Military Institute, hopefully it means he is a recruit that has some fortitude against adversity, can follow team rules and won't be a disciplinary problem - unlike some of Frost's other RB recruits.
I’m excited about a lot. I’m excited about the new staff. Think it’s probably the best staff from top to bottom we’ve had since Tom retired. Excited about Casey Thompson and the transport portal class. Excited to see how Husker staff closed on what looked to be a total waste of a recruiting class. I was one of the only people super excited about Emmett Johnson (like I’m really excited) . I’m actually freaking excited about a lot.
Sorry I’m not excited for the 3rd Juco back RB in 5 years when the first one was an absolute failure and the second one was so-so. Also in general, RBs out of the Juco ranks haven’t been all that much. Went thru like 8 years of Juco backs and Stevenson from OU was the only one wthat jumped out to me.
Maybe Grant will be good. Glad we beat out New Mexico St, FAU, and Jackson State for him.

Normally, I would agree with you about JUCO recruits....but NMMI isn't your typical Junior College, it's a military school with a lot higher standards than other JUCOs. It's a controlled environment with a strict code of conduct. I think this is a good addition to provide depth at the position.

The best running backs don't get distracted playing skool. He should be really good for us! Let's get him a good NIL side hustle and start pounding that rock.
Looks like a great get, and regardless if we get the Miami d-lineman or not, Frost has done a pretty great job in the portal. Remarkable all things considered.
Purdy decision down to 2. He’ll be in Lincoln this fall. Just needs to pick the sideline.

I believe he is required to have completed his AA Degree before he can sign. He must have that done or he wouldn't be starting classes right away.
