Man, Iowa needs to wake up and realize that you have to have a quarterback that can either pass or run; having one that does neither is not a way to go through the big ten. Glad they are losing but they are painful to watch.

Seems we have 2, and then a massive gap to the rest of about 40 teams.
Lions defense held there. That play calling on last set of downs was suspect but I think iowa thinks they'll get the ball back and take field goal now rather than last drive
Red Zone, you don't have more than 3 seconds against a D like PSU.
He gets a 1 or 2 look, and then throw the ball away.
Didn't mind the Iowa combo route to get their TE open. Throwing over the middle against a D like that is begging for problems.
Eh. I think you are giving Penn State's defense too much credit. Iowa has a high school offense. Soooo basic it is painful.
It is basic.
But they have a great D to rely upon.
I realize field position football and grinding out wins isn't anything we would want to do, but they do it very well.
This is why Iowa beats us, special teams! I would argue that in all of the games against Iowa in the Frost era. It all comes down to field position.

You play to your strengths.
Iowa runs the football, does play action, plays great hard nosed D that keeps everything in front of them, and lets you make mistakes.
Their QB is a mere distributor and not a game-changer and as long as he doesn't throw INTs they'll be vanilla Iowa as much as Iowa can be.
