Man….that would suck for LWE! To have to go back to Loyola again in round 2. Loyola, I don’t think , has ever had to go to LWE and would escape that yet again.

Now for us fans this makes a great round 2 match-up!!

Some adjustments
8a #22 - Taft (6-3) is actually 7-1 right now - the worst they can end up is 7-2
Belleville east (7-3) is actually 5-3 - Best they can be is 6-3 puts them in the 18/19 region

Thanks for finding those... errors in the source data from Massey (important to find someone else to blame ;)). Next year I'll try getting records directly from IHSA. Changed a few games in 8A. Interestingly, because this reduced Belleville East's wins, it reduces Collinsville's opponent wins, so now they lose tiebreaker to Glenbard West & the 31/32 seeds are flipped in 7A.

first, I know you are sharing for another source, so I am not nagging you.

Belleville East 7-3 …. I guess they win round 1.

Eville 6-3 - they think DeSmet wins. Interesting.

Belleville should be corrected in post immediately above yours. Massey only gives Edwardsville a 35% chance of beating DeSmet. I couldn't find either on a map, so don't blame the messenger 🤣

Oh, it's all on you buddy!

DeSmet v Eville prediction is surprising. DS got molly whopped last weekend by small-school Cardinal Ritter, which, granted, has a 36-game streak going. They may send as many kids to D1 as ESL. In fact, the QB was at ESL behind Pops for two years - he is committed to Illinois.

I do see the Illinois Tigers prevailing, however. Either way, it is a good prep game for the IHSA series.
