I don’t know how the score is 4-1. Mays should have got 2 back points in the 1st. Whoever is running the scoreboard has messed up multiple times and the ref keeps coming over to fix the mess

Gayer pins Whalen on a simple tilt. That was really lazy from Whalen. No way anyone should ever get pinned with that but good rebound win for Gayer against a good opponent

It’s really unbelievable.

I have a feeling well being seeing Gayer at some point this year. Not saying he is ready, but at least he is aggressive and looks to attack.
Maybe, but I don’t want us to ruin a kids development just because another kid won’t develop.

I haven't seen O'Neill's matches. Could he be suffering from the weight cut? Might they have been right last year when saying he couldn't make 165?

He looks the exact same as he did last year. Waiting for someone to shoot so he can try and counter. Or when he does shoot, simply stop once he's got the leg and hold on for dear life. Bottom he has a little more life. Top that was always nonexistent.

But at a lower weight, he should be stronger and hopefully more confident, no?

Shawver is giving Glory one hell of a fight

I'm not at all surprised to hear that Shawver is looking good. He is one that has shown continuous improvement. I had predicted he would beat Peterson for the position. However, I am pleasantly surprised to hear that Peterson has come back strong after his layoff. Is there a better test for them than Glory?

O'Neil is not only losing he's being soundly beaten, tech falled. The woes at 165 continue for the 7th season.

If healthy I’d like to see Kanniard there. Think it’s more of his natural weight and he seemed to be cutting too much to 157. ONeill is what he is at this point.
I think Kanniard is at 165.....he has not been mentioned in any articles or by Coach Goodale in any previews. Not sure if he will be a factor at 165. I could be wrong but that is the vibe I am getting.

Well deserved controversy IMHO…
Haven't seen the match yet. Shawver and Peterson both had tough matches w glory.

Was glory off today or our guys developing into studs? I think the latter. Can't wait to see 125 play out this season.

This feels like one of the situations we see great schools run into... More than one really tough kid at a weight who can make some noise. 💪🏾💪🏾

What the **** are the Rider coaches doing? You can't jump on the mat like that. These guys are dicks.
That's why I hope we continue to own that clown college and team. Gotta humiliate them in their HS gym again in January.

I'm loving seeing Clark at 157 going for gold. He developed well from last year and is far more comfortable at his natural weight.

He's doing the exact same things, he's not aggressive at all. He waits for the other guy to push the action. Mays dictated the whole match while O'Neil did nothing but react.
O'Neill is a bust. If he continues to do nothing, then we are going to be very tempted to pull the RS on Gayer.

I'm concerned that Kanniard is getting lost in the shuffle. Clark has taken his starting spot at 157. Kannaird might graduate and transfer down a level and end up somewhere like Rider or Binghamton.

Learned a little today. But not a lot. We have 2 really good kids at 125. Oliveri is ready @ 141 if Sammy slips up. No competition at 157 so can't tell about Clark. A title is still good. We need help at 165. 184 like 157 had no competition but a title is good. Heavyweight -No competition Casele beat a kid from Emmanuel College (a D 2 school in Georgia with about 900 students) and two kids who go to West Point Prep School. It was a good day for the pin pool. The freshman that competed wrestled like freshmen.

Next Saturday against Arizona State should tell us a lot more.
