I wonder if we see Peterson bump up to 133 next season, Olivieri at 141, Alvarez at 149 and White at 157. Going to be hard to get both him and Shawver in the lineup otherwise.

Peterson was a wrecking machine in high school till he hurt he his nose. Kid beat everyone, dean was the guy who prides himself on being the strongest and best conditioned guy at the weight.

If that Dean Peterson emerges here, he’s going to be a problem for opposing teams.

I believe his only NJ high school loss is to Olivieri in the finals as a freshmen. I could be wrong on that though.

Cetta has a cradle locked up and somehow loses it and gets pinned with 20 secs. left in the 3rd.

Damn, Cetta outwrestled his kid the whole match and got caught in a weird scramble. He had a cradle locked but got stuck and ended up getting pinned.

I can’t watch these half *** shots from O’Neill all year. He gets in deep on a leg every single time and if he can’t elevate him immediately he just flattens out. There’s no chain wrestling at all.

He was the better wrestler and got the win, but I do not see him hanging with Mays next round at all

Well O'Neil can certainly hang onto a leg. I think he held onto it for over a minute to win.

Been a great day of wrestling for me..
Psyched to see Wrestling for the first time since last season!

I never expected to have good mat coverage by ESPN3

Vintage Poz in this match. Not sure if his opponent is any good but Poz has been in complete control

The good news is everyone who we need to make an impact this year has made the semi’s

The not as good news is that if we ever want to be a top 5 or 10 team, these depth guys need to be better. If a Penn State or Iowa showed up to this tournament, they’d have 2 or 3 guys at every weight class in the semi’s

PJ Casale with the quick pin. Not great competition but he's doing what he should be doing.

I’m guessing there’s an intermission because maybe assignments slowed down. Anyone know when the next session starts?

I get the stall call on Peterson but Glory isn’t exactly trying to do anything on top

Shawver advances to finals. Here’s the cool thing. Shawver gets a chance to match that performance from Peterson and Peterson takes on the guy Shawver beat 8-5. Not an exact science but they’ll have two common opponents after 1 day.

Olivieri handles 5th year senior Slendorn, who lost to Raimo in the state finals in 2017. Slendorn must hate Hanover Park
