Hard pass. We already a President with a medical background. Did not work out well. Also, don't want anyone from a school that supported cheating to win. For similar reasons, we should not consider any candidates from Penn State.
Doesn’t necessarily have to be her, but someone with a similar profile. Someone from Washington, UCLA, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, etc would be equally acceptable.

Any respectable AD will want to bring in his own coach. The last thing will should do is to bring in an AD based on GS approval
actually, respectable or not , the new AD will have to have the funds to buyout Greg before being able to bring in who they want .
Expect that AD to voice support for the way Schiano is building the program, until that AD finds the money to buyout Greg and send him to the unemployment line

Well as @SkilletHead2 said (and he would know), these kinds of arrangements are the norm in higher ed.

One wonders though…if it’s so bad for your family, why stick around in the first place.🤷‍♂️
He will never teach a class at Rutgers. It’s the golden parachute package. They get a position on faculty as a memoriam and immediately go on a 2 year paid sabbatical. It’s the norm. **** Florio did the same thing after he was governor. Taught one class year and went on a paid sabbatical and never returned
