I agree we need to emulate our peers. But where in that biography show that she would be friendly to athletics? Or make it a priority.
Did you miss her degrees from Ohio state. Athletics success is in her DNA. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is an important part of Rutgers culture, being one of the most diverse schools in America. She knows the money that Michigan spends, and would be understanding of the dollars that Rutgers needs to spend

If it was a person of color, sex is Male or Female,sexuality is LGBTQ whatever and is a Pedo St grad I don't care as long as their the best fit for Rutgers and get this **** turned around!! No I didnt. She has 2 universities that understand the importance of academic and athletic balance. But nothing in her CV jumps out to me in regards to athletic priority. No mention of athletics liaison or oversight.

In all likelihood part of his deal for originally taking the job. That type of arrangement is pretty common in academia. RU actually does have a rather cushy arrangement for people who leave high level positions in the uni.
The big money still supports him, when we start to see the big $ donors questioning the direction of the program then maybe he will start to be held accountable.

Nothing in her CV shows this. It actually could be argued to show the opposite. Just because she attended OSU and works at Michigan doesn’t correlate to being athletics friendly. Barchi was a varsity athlete in college and was as the most unfriendly RU President when it came to the athletic department.
She went to Ohio State, and the assumption is The Ohio State- Michigan rivalry likely plays a prominent part in her life. It’s HUGE. Athletics philosophy can be covered during her interview.
I know people that went to Penn and are die hard athletic supporters and people that went to LSU and locked themselves in a library and never set foot in a stadium. Don’t assume. Because you know what that does? It makes an….

What are you talking about? You’re the one that is bringing fandom into it. I’m bringing athletic management and oversight credentials that would lead one to believe that she knows the role athletics play. Most academics no matter where they attended don’t see value in over the top athletic funding. You can run a case study at Rutgers alone.
Hard pass. We already a President with a medical background. Did not work out well. Also, don't want anyone from a school that supported cheating to win. For similar reasons, we should not consider any candidates from Penn State.
