I guess I see it differently.
From Rhule's perspective it is a game of musical chairs now.
The only jobs that are going to open going forward are lesser jobs, West Virginia, Navy, New Mexico, Texas St. I can't imagine Nebraska is competing for a coach with those schools. IF those schools even make a change.
So you have Auburn, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Arizona St, Georgia Tech and Colorado in the P5. Then South Florida and UAB have openings.
Wisconsin is going to hire Lenhard. So that eliminates a chair
Colorado, Arizona St, Georgia Tech aren't going to hire Rhule. If Nebraska is a heavy lift, those schools are heavier.
If Auburn wanted him, they would have already hired him. If Auburn hires Kiffin, then Ole Miss is open, again a heavier lift than Nebraska considering the division they play in and the additions of Oklahoma and Texas coming in. Having no divisions in the SEC makes that job even tougher.
If Auburn hires Freeze, that only leaves Liberty as a new opening. He isn't going there.
If the Rhule's agent doesn't want to get paid this year, representing Rhule, he is in a great position, because the chairs that will be left, aren't that great.
