What makes you think I am whining? You are the one pitching a fit about how things are going and demanding things that are out of our control. I am the one dealing with where we are at and hoping for better.
Because you just crested two posts whining about it?!?!? This isn't rocket science.

I've pitched a fit? Where? I think I've just pointed out the truth, which it appears a vast majority here are in agreement with.

You're pretending the reality isn't the reality and whining about anyone who doesn't do the same.

I simply presented facts that do not support your non stop negative agenda and you can't handle it. Not playing along with all your whining does not equal whining.

What facts? What can't I handle?

Your 2 posts whining do equal whining, though. Lmao.

Your argument has been that our SRS ranking was good or proves something. It was 7th in our conference and 24th nationally. How is that good or something to brag about?

The other argument is SOS. While we did have a high SOS, it's largely because it's been artificially heightened by the SEC being vastly overrated. Also, Michigan has the highest SOS and didn't seem phased. Zona was also ahead of us in SOS and had no issues getting to the F4.

Your are just an entitled brat throwing a temper tantrum because UK basketball is not satisfying your desires. I never said it was good or anything to brag about. I only said the record itself was not necessarily indicative of the entire picture. Michigan and Arizona were clearly better than us this past season. I can live with that and that enrages you because you apparently can't deal with it.

I must be the most throwing the most low key tantrum ever because I am kicked back on the couch watching tv laughing at you.

I mean, would any real fan just want to sit back and be like I can live with them being better than us? Thank you for outing yourself!

It looks like a pretty accurate depiction of you.

Being able to live with the fact that they were better than us this past season in no way indicates I am good with it staying that way going forward.

I didn't say it wasn't all that bad. I said it wasn't as bad as he thinks or what the record alone would normally indicate. The season is measured as a whole with no emotion by their unbiased metric.
I get what you're saying there. The SEC is a gauntlet now with no real gimmes like there were in years past. Having said that, SoS doesn't account for how absolutely awful we looked at times and the reasons for those 14 losses.
At our best, we looked like a sweet 16 team that could sneak into the Elite 8. At our worst we looked like EKU. Sounds like hyperbole but we flat out got ran out of the gym at times.

It is me... I just took it to show you!

If you can just live with it, then you're okay with it. You'll just create some new justification for it next year.

I have no argument with this but I would point out there were times we looked pretty good as well. St. Johns, At Arkansas, Vandy at home, and the Tennessee victories were pretty satisfying. The SRS does take into account just how bad the blowouts were btw.

Then that defeats the claim that you need multiple elite scorers to compete at a high level which is the original claim that was not made by me. You either concede Davis, Lamb, Jones were elite scorers or you concede that you do not actually need elite scorers to win it all.

You have no argument for what I said because there is no reasonable way to dispute this. I would accept either conclusion but it must be one or the other. There is no way around it. The post you just made is nonsense with no relation to anything.

You think you are real cute posting nonsense. I guess that is your only option after being cornered by infallible logic.

Are you still bitter about your faulty crystal ball causing you humiliation?

Three straight posts trying to shutdown anyone who dared mention Blackwell with your supposed knowledge of the future and you were completely wrong.

This requires the context of the argument that was being made by someone else. The claim was that you needed multiple elite scorers to compete at a high level. The point was that Davis was the leading scorer on the 2012 championship team at 14.2 ppg. So by necessity that would have to qualify as an elite scorer or you do not in fact need even one much less multiple elite scorers to compete at a high level.

What am I wrong about I said I thought Blackwell would go to Illinois or Michigan. You are delusional and stop trying ti take over a thread cuck boy
You did not say you think or imo. You spoke in absolute definitive terms that those were the only possible destinations.

Wisconsins guards were awesome. I’d take him for sure, I wouldn’t mind that Syracuse Forward. Riley and Byrd would be good options for depth. I think it would be a nice haul if we ended up with those 4 and a couple shooters along with who we got back. I’d prefer a bonafide NBA talent to go with it but if we return the right guys with them it could work.
He will stay in the big 10 Michigan or Illinois

These were three consecutive posts in your attempt to shutdown anyone who dared mention him. I wouldn't keep throwing this in your face if you'd ever had enough dignity to own the fact that you got too big for britches and it blew up in your face. You should have realized when you got rude with me that day that you would hear about it when he ultimately went somewhere else. Had you only said it once I would have not even paid any attention but you went out of the way in drawing attention to yourself.

You put me on ignore that day but I guess you failed to redo it when you got yourself banned and started a new account.

Oh definitely, we were truly a Jekyl/Hyde team. Truly one of the most head scratching teams I've ever seen haha.
Didn't realize SRS takes that into account...I'll have to look further into what that stat entails exactly. I'm honestly a bit confused how we would've scored that positively even with the good wins you mentioned there.

Wilkins is not a gamble
Ndiaye, have to wait and see but seems to bring a lot to the table
I actually really like the wilkins add and N'diaye could be really fun as a skilled stretched 4 but neither player has played at the Power conference level and it usually takes those guys a year or 2 before they really pop off. Even looking at Kam WIlliams, was an NBA prospect and a top 50 portal player at Tulane but struggled a lot early on.

He shouldn't have had a year 3 . If the current AD favorites get job he WILL get year 4 no matter what . Pope has put together a BYU roster- REmind me how much success he had at BYU ?
Pope at the time was the fastest to 60 wins as a BYU head coach.

Did it take Dalton Knecht a year to pop off? Chaz Lanier? Some guys just make the jump, every player is different. I’m not saying N’Diaye will immediately but I’d be surprised if Wilkins isn’t good from the word “Go”

What had Golden or Hurley accomplished in college basketball prior to being hired at Floridza and UConn?
Great question.

Hurley took over a horrible Wagner program and in his 2nd year they went from 13 -17 to 25 - 6. That was pre NIL or transfer portal.

He then went to a bad RI program and by year three, they were 23-10. His last 2 seasons they went to the NCAA tournament ( first time since 1999) and advanced past the 1st rd each year. They also won the A10 conference tournament for the first time since 1981 and regular season championship first time since 1999 during his tenure. Again, pre NIL or transfer portal.

Todd Golden coached San Francisco to the NCAA tournament in 3 seasons and to a 24-10 record. And he was an assistant of Bruce Pearls at Auburn prior to that. Again, pre NIL and transfer portal.

So both did quite a bit more.

Funny note: The 2 seasons prior to Pope going to Utah Valley State, they had won their conference 3 of the previous 5 years. Mark Pope never won it in 4 years. Yet, they won it 4 of the last 7 years since he left.

Of course he believes he’s getting a year 4. And he should believe that. He’s going to need to show more of the promise he showed in year 1 and take it one notch further and he remains here. Best case scenario is and will continue to be: Pope killing it here.
If Pope stays here, best case scenario is to cancel the program like Arkansas did there tennis.

Hurley has rebuilt everything he's touched. If anyone was smart, they would have handed Hurley the keys before he got to UConn. Now he's settled and the only thing stopping him from dominating CBB is NIL. He came from basketball DNA and a HOF Dad.

Pope took over a Ferrari and turned it into Honda. Rushed feel good hire.
