It’s generally not a good sign for society when people with God-complexes feel they need to step in to stop communication on topics of their choosing. We talk about ridiculous OT things every day and debate, get pissed and bicker, but only certain topics get deleted. Every single piece of crap human who’s done that has been proven dangerously wrong throughout history.
A little dramatic. It's a football message board run by a private company. They are free to delete what they want. Surely you'll be able to find somewhere else on the vast internet to discuss topics that get deleted here.
How is deleting a topic on guns, on a football message board, that includes political posts, "God-like"? I think you should he happy "God" let's us have a place to talk Husker football for free.

Seems ironic that the people complaining seem to be the ones who are offended that they can't talk guns on a football forum owned by a private company. Face it. The entire country is dramatic and gets upset about everything. See this thread as proof.

Because a mod got called out for some stuff, lied about what he had said, attacked others that don’t think like him, and then got it shut down because it was “out of control”.
Or you can believe the other excuses he came up with. The guy LITERALLY said he’s never been wrong. It was quite the thing to see.

I think it has a lot to do with the one-sidedness of folks/ideas/opinions being cancelled purely out of political ideology. Happens all the time. At work, within public schools, basically any public forum (actual or digital), the OpenScrolls, THIS board...
I think a lot of people are here just to have other people to talk to. I don't/can't discuss anything outside of absolute neutrality in my offices/clinics just because of, ya know, business suicide. And our country is currently a toilet-bowl of diarrhea that's actively being flushed into the forgotten history of other failed empires, which is REALLY HARD for some people to NOT talk about.
This forum is pretty rare in that it DOES allow for anonymity, which is why most conservative voices will NOT participate in commercialized social media platforms.
Maybe that's all lame, but Huskers athletics is pretty f'ing lame too (arguably a LOT more lame than discussing current events and politics), unless you're into girls' VB or MAAAAAYBE baseball, this year. Jury's still out. It's fun talking about husker football and basketball, when there's something fun or interesting to talk about. Been awhile there.
You clearly live in a much different world then me. Every conservative I know, and it's a lot, is constantly on social media making comments about politics. You must live in a strange place.
And I would say your perspective is different than his or mine.

My point is that there is likely a place anything can be discussed, just not here. The forum exists for Husker football. Anything beyond that should be viewed as a bonus IMO.

I just think its funny when one side uses the "well, its a private company and they can control what's on their site" yet, when its turned around(COUGH Twitter COUGH) we get "OMG MY RIGHTS ARE BEING ABUSED! DISINFORMATION! CONSPIRACY THEORIES! SHUT IT DOWN!!!" And you know what, since their tyrants are the tyrants in charge of this insanity it DOES get shut down or we suddenly see accusations come out of no-where or something suddenly comes up to cancel and destroy it.
