Totally agree. If Big 10 was the toughest conference , the Big 12 was a very close second . They beat everyone down the stretch and except for a ridiculous shooting night from Coleman of Texas , they would have won the conference tourney as well. . They beat WVU 2 x and beat Baylor and WVU gets a 3 seed. Playing as well as any team in the country. How they were not a 2 or 3 seed at worst is criminal. You are also correct as it screws Illinois as they get the hardest game in the Sweet 16. . LSU is definitely not an 8 seed ,probably a 5-6 seed more properly ,and will likely beat the Bonnie’s and get Michigan making that a really tough matchup early for Michigan. Colorado is a 5 and Oregon is a 7 and Oregon has won 11-12 so might have shifted those guys. Iowa likely getting Oregon is a tougher game than Colorado. So so far Big 10 teams, Illinois, Michigan and Iowa get teams early in their second game that were misseeded . Oklahoma State , Oregon and LSU are playing really well and can clearly upset any of our Big 10 teams.
Agree with you that a six is high for a team that plays only a handful of tough teams, although I will say that I saw them twice and they look tough. Don’t forget that half their team is always about 30 years old so they are usually more physically and mentally mature than most other teams.
