Mine clearly is Oklahoma State somehow getting seed 4th despite being talked about as a 2 seed or a top 3 seed

why it matters? Because not only were the Cowboys screwed with having to play a one but Illinois is going to have the toughest 4 they could possibly face...tougher than some 3s.

LSU as well at an 8 is an embarrassment from the committee given what they did the SEC tourney

That big freshman kid at Okie State will be a tough matchup for the Illini if they play. Probably too quick for Kofi and Georgi and too big for their other players.

Totally agree. If Big 10 was the toughest conference , the Big 12 was a very close second . They beat everyone down the stretch and except for a ridiculous shooting night from Coleman of Texas , they would have won the conference tourney as well. . They beat WVU 2 x and beat Baylor and WVU gets a 3 seed. Playing as well as any team in the country. How they were not a 2 or 3 seed at worst is criminal. You are also correct as it screws Illinois as they get the hardest game in the Sweet 16. . LSU is definitely not an 8 seed ,probably a 5-6 seed more properly ,and will likely beat the Bonnie’s and get Michigan making that a really tough matchup early for Michigan. Colorado is a 5 and Oregon is a 7 and Oregon has won 11-12 so might have shifted those guys. Iowa likely getting Oregon is a tougher game than Colorado. So so far Big 10 teams, Illinois, Michigan and Iowa get teams early in their second game that were misseeded . Oklahoma State , Oregon and LSU are playing really well and can clearly upset any of our Big 10 teams.

again my take is that the committee relied way too heavily on overall NET ratings and the two losses to TCU factored into the dragging down of the Okie State net.

the NET was utter ******** this year because we saw how blowout wins allowed schools to rise 10-15 spots in one night, schools like North Carolina, UConn, Ga Tech flew up the rankings simply because they were winning by large margins

agree about the Big 10 getting screwed in those 2nd round matchups but then again we got a great draw

And Wisconsin drew a very tough 1st round matchup with
UNC . They are playing very well right now.

LSU number 29 on KenPom and has 3 total wins vs KenPom top 50 the last 2 months, the same as Rutgers over that time frame.

did you see them today

Yes. They are elite on offense and horrific on defense. The worst D in the Big Ten is #79 OSU. LSU is #125. Alabama does not even have a good offense (less efficient than Wisconsin and Penn State) and they let them scorch them.

BYU seeded a 6 is a crime, they really didnt do anything this year, not sure why they are always given the benefit of the doubt for being 2nd fiddle to Gonzaga

Thought the lower tier B1G teams were seeded worse than expected. WI was 7 on many brackets (vs. 9 actual) and MD/RU were 8/9 on almost all (vs. 10, actual) and MSU was 10/11 on most (vs. play-in 11). It actually probably helps us, as I'd rather play Clemson than most of the 8's, plus, if we happen to make the 2nd round, I'd way rather play Houston, who we can beat if we play well, than playing the Zags or Baylor, who we'd be much less likely to beat.

Agree completely on OK State getting screwed at 4 (and Illinois having such a tough 4 to play); MO and LSU seem a bit low, too. And UConn should not be a 7, IMO.

Agree with you that a six is high for a team that plays only a handful of tough teams, although I will say that I saw them twice and they look tough. Don’t forget that half their team is always about 30 years old so they are usually more physically and mentally mature than most other teams.

BYU ended up #17 in Wins Above Bubble measuring the strength of their resume and 24 in KenPom measuring their adjusted efficiency.

The point of Wins Above Bubble is to accurately measure how a bubble team would have done against your schedule. BYU lacked great wins but got a lot of decent wins and had a pretty record against teams not named Gonzaga.

This season in particular severely restricted OOC play so fewer chances for tougher competition.

Personally I like the SOR and WAB measures of wins and losses to rate resumes. Far more meaningful than the stupid quad system in the NET where a team dropping a few spots can totally change the opinion of a win or loss.
