PJ heard a pop when he came down. PJ is wearing a hard cast. Tyler Herro wrote #25 on his wrist tape as a tribute to him for the game today. There have been rumors that he might have a stress fracture. But yeah of course he will be back next weekend, DEFINITELY. Seriously though PJ I hope you get better.
I had a stress fracture in my right tibia. It hurt, but no more than any other inconvenient pain Ive had in my life. I was on crutches over it, and still ran a qualifying mile to play on my HS baseball team with it, when I should have stayed on the crutches. Im just saying, even something like a hairline fracture is absolutely manageable. And that was a leg bone. Ive broken my nose, pinkie, and a toe as well. If its a stres fracture in the toes, like doc said above, its completely tapeable. Been there and dealt with it myself.

actually, bungalowbill, you are correct. I cannot make a definitive diagnosis without having examined the patient. I can only go on what I have heard through the media (that all diagnostic studies were negative) and my own experience with similar patients. There we are.

Then why are you being unprofessional and stating a differential with no imaging, without examination and without feedback on current treatment? Even the most pedestrian ortho's I know wouldn't dare to publicly make such conjecture.

I noticed CoachR35 voted No. Is that the same coach who drops info on here every so often?

Look, I am a doctor. There are ways to build a shoe/arch and tape his foot in such a way, to minimize movement between the bones. He must have a tear of one or more of his small metatarsal ligaments. This is NOT career threatening. He just needs the right external bracing, and then load him up with pain meds if necessary. No excuse for not playing next week, period.
Thanks for this. Glad to have info from someone who's qualified to give it ! Doesn't happen very often on this board.
