Yeah I'd be surprised if the IHSA did anything on schedule
They did. Smallest public in 8A. They will be out on the second round.They should have requested up to 8A and not ducked competition. Right @SilverHelmet
Marist had a disappointing season - However I'm sure the hoops coach will be happy to have Brown at practice come Monday-

Does Souce do a final projections before IHSA. I know he's been updating, but I've seen nothing.
At this point he's in the makeup chair getting ready for the show. His last update was at 1:15pn.

I dont believe points by playoffs qualifiers is criteria they consider. I think its wins by opponents, then wins over defeated opponents.
Edit: just saw they were tied in both so...??
4D is pretty clear why Marist didn't get in. More points allowed to playoff qualifiers.

I'm pretty sure they got him back after Rice game - I think he had 2 TDs last nite. Overall I was expecting Marist to do a 6-3 worse case. Marist has some decent players back next year but they also lose I think 4 of 5 OLs, their QB and 2 key receivers (Donahue and Brown). Their Sophs were decent but not great. Hosty the Junior is a really good DB and filled in well at QB when Detemple was out but if they dont get a good QB in portal (like they did with Ritter) then I don't see them lighting it up next year - maybe 6-3 tops but most likely another 4 or 5 win season. However on a good note for Marist their hoops team has to be a Top 3 team in Illinois and easily a favorite in 4A hoops - they are loaded (especially brining in Barnes from DeLaSalle)
Getting either Franny or MP in round 2 is a rough draw for the #1 seed.
Looks like the IHSA did a deep fake, making us think GBW was gonna be 8A. For shame IHSA, for shame.

Kaneland confuses the hell out of me this year. They've been all over the place since the Morris game. Not completely shocking that Rochelle beat them, but I would say it was unexpected and then to beat a 2-7 LP team by only 1 was crazy.
