Interesting that you would use the word WE. Your posting history would suggest that you're an Iowa fan.Right now we are sitting with Nixon as the sole "guarantee" at WR
And I am referring to this class which is not going well

We have approx 70-80 more than Rutgers and Purdue and over a 100 more than other B1G schools...just in conference
The only school I've found so far that has more would be Tennessee at over 480, Louisville has approximately a similar number to Nebraska
Exactly. It’s just a different approach than most B1G schools take.So what?
I was answering that posters specific question
Patience young grasshopper...putting together a class is an art. Did not say we are gonna close with 10 all Americans, but they come first and the class is then filled based on need. Manning, Fleming, Johnson, Francois, green warren, Robinson, Robinson, Dennis, Marks. Then guys like Harrison, butler , Malani , Alante. Probably 5-6 Hs kids and 4-5 Jucos..a couple transfers. It is fluid and constantly changing.Give me 10 elite and/or Rivals 250 members we are waiting on to fill this class.
I'll give you Johnson and Fleming...who else?
Got it.
I don't see why anyone would care about the offer numbers.

I saw something like that but I still see him listed. Listen, if we strike out it will be tough. BUT with manning, Fleming, Betts, Nixon..that would be our best WR recruiting class ever! Johnson and Gunnerson for OLB? Green Warren or Francois and Gray? We are talking about ELITE recruits. When you combine that with last years class you can see a team being BUILT. Could have a secondary with 3 HS all Americans..2 HS all American LBs..Hs all American DE. HS all American QB..3 HS all American wrs..2 Hs all American Tackles..Hs all American RB? As well as adding guys like Britt, Nelson, Jurgens, mills...just be patient. You realize Marks has said he is no longer visiting?
Well it goes back to my previous post relating to extremely high number of offers (second or third most in the country) vs 14 commits and the ability to relationship build but I seem to be the only one that sees that as a huge red flag.
I've been told that its nonsense, that we are waiting to fill up with Rivals 250 prospects, I'm jerking off, and that my posting history shows me to be an Iowa fan even though I've been on this site for 15 years
I guess other posters are ok with where the class is and and where it is heading relative to winning the West and competing for B1G championships
Judging progress not judging the class. why is it so difficult to understand. We judge the football season every week based on how things look at that time.I don't see the point in judging a class before it's finished. And it's obvious to everyone else that you can put out a ton of offers and still develop relationships with the ones you choose to.

Everything about this program is going to be under heightened scrutiny until things change. HCSF has made a BIG deal out of the players we have not being good enough, not bought in, to blame for our losses, etc. He and Moos have used that for 2 solid years. That excuse runs out this year, so therefore the focus has to now switch to recruiting as that is the only way to fix all these bad players and the lack of talent we have. Given HCSF's first class has now turned out to be a disaster, some people might go ahead an question only have 14 commits before signing day.But how can you judge progress before you know the outcome? It can look like a hot mess right now and end up great.
Not getting Manning. He’s likely back to TCU.
That's what she said. The finish is all that matters
But how can you judge progress before you know the outcome? It can look like a hot mess right now and end up great.
Why visit recruiting forums that discuss how recruiting is going in August if you are only interested in the February rankings.
then why have polls throughout the season? Why visit recruiting forums that discuss how recruiting is going in August if you are only interested in the February rankings.
And discussing how recruiting is going is a lot different then judging recruiting as a failure when it's not done yet.
SO FAR the class is leaving much to be desired. Again judging the progress not judging the final product
WHAAAT???? Dude is a baller! He plays FAST, so I was not surprised when I saw he ran a 4.49 electronic 40 at the opening! We are talking 4.3 hand held linebacker! He is the fastest LB in the country. This would be a big pick-up

That's a whole nother subjectThat's what she said.
She also said if it gets on her face she will be PISSED.
There's no way this class doesn't finish as a mild disappointment as far as I'm concerned. It will be a solid class, but it looks very unlikely to be ranked higher than last year's, which was the goal.SO FAR the class is leaving much to be desired. I was told having less talent is an excuse for losing. Are you saying that's incorrect? There's no way this class doesn't finish as a mild disappointment as far as I'm concerned. It will be a solid class, but it looks very unlikely to be ranked higher than last year's, which was the goal.
That's not a step in the direction I want to see. I am not aware of any realistic path they have into the Top 20 classes, let alone closer to the Top 15 where NU needs to get if they want to ever be an elite team again.
Not a knock on any of the kids at the top end of the class, but having 5 kids committed who are rated 4* as of December isn't good enough. Three teams in your conference have more than double that and OSU has triple that when you count their two 5* guys.
They'll finish with a couple more 4* guys than that, but they ain't catching PSU or Michigan. Spread that over four years and those teams are on pace to roster 40-60 guys 4* or better while we have 20-30. Ohio State is on pace to have over 60 guys above 4*. And that's your story on why Wisco was able to punch with them for a half but then got drowned in a sea of talent after halftime.
The silver lining is that NU will likely take a lot of kids again. If you can't get the best kids get a lot of kids and see who surprises you. This is the last year I want to see them so heavy into the JUCO ranks. But I get the desire to grab some older guys when your roster is so underclassmen-heavy.
I count 11 guys gone from the 2018 class of 22 enrollees. Lots of work still to be done just in terms of acquiring the talent needed to be the best team in the B1G West.
Kind of hard to make the kid feel wanted and develop a special bond when you are throwing out offers all over the place
Oh, and I am a retired VP of North American Sales so I know a little about relationship development, travel and remote salesmanship
Zero recollection of what you're talking about, but I'll assume it's in my client notes in your roll-a-dex. How is Bland not making grades relevant to whether coaches are good enough at relationship building to be the vice president of sales someplace?Ya, you didn't believe me last class on Bland either and made a big deal out of that when I told you to wait and see if he signed with anyone on either LOI day...and he didn't
