Why did Pike have him in down the stretch? Missing shots and FT’s,
committing fouls and turnovers with Mathis and McConnell on the bench. I don’t get it.

Didn’t agree with him in there either, but we won so I can live with it

Not to harp on kiss anymore but really don’t think he’s a big ten player ...he’s really a one dimensional player who doesn’t even shoot that well . So weak with the ball in his hand and doesn’t attack the rim effectively. Obviously he can improve next year but I see him getting passed over and playing few minutes next year .

I feel as though everyone magnifies PK's mistakes more than everyone on the team. He had 2 turnovers yes, but so did everyone else. He also made a couple big shots throughout the game and played under control.

He's a good scorer off the bench for a team that struggles to score. Give him a break

Yeah the hate for Kiss is unwarranted. In B1G play he's 35% from 3, 53% from 2, and 70% from the stripe. His defense (while probably still below average) has improved imo.

Maybe he doesn't have as big a role as we hoped for, but he absolutely has value here. We'll see what happens next year as we add two more guards to the mix but he deserves his minutes this year.

I think the problem is that Kiss makes mistakes in bunches. When he's bad, he's really bad, and has a bad attitude at times. That sequence when he got trapped twice in a row and Omoruyi had to physically restrain him from going after the Indiana player had the potential to ruin the entire game, especially if he gets T'd up there. There have been several times this year that he's completely melted down. With maybe one exception, Mathis a couple of games ago, I haven't seen that from anyone else. That's why there is more of a focus on him.

You are correct. There was a build-up about him and it led to some unrealistic expectations IMO. He can be a valuable role player but we were led to believe he would be more than that.

Pike coached the game in front of him as it unfolded.
Kiss had good legs last night and pulled in two rebounds going down the stretch.

But, I can not lie... I’m sitting right behind the bench asking my friend “why is Mathis not in the game”?

Despite to two misses (maybe partly because he was still steaming about being fouled) he still is one of our best free throw shooters.

Agree, no issue with him being in there to hit ft’s. Was disappointed he lost his composure on a foul and then bricked both FTs because he was still fired up. Can’t do that and expect to be on the floor at the end. Great job by EO stepping in and dragging him away.

There was build up because he practiced well coming into the season - which makes sense because Kiss is a good player when the competition isn’t elite and his confidence goes untested. He might still just be short on experience , he has the feel of a player who really comes on during their senior year

Kiss's stats this year are actually better against better competition.

After the two brick foul shots, he pretty much slammed the game away on his fast break dunk.

Was he fouled on those last two possessions he had? Looked like he was molested b- but I sit far from that play.

PK hit an absolute needed three as we were missing chippies at that point in the game - keeping the Hoosiers in it.

Need PK and his points off the bench - last three games he has hit a three late in the game.

Kiss has really weak hands and needs to hit the weight room. He always loses tie ups and gets tied up way too easily.
