Why did Pike have him in down the stretch? Missing shots and FT’s,
committing fouls and turnovers with Mathis and McConnell on the bench. I don’t get it.
Was wondering if that was the case. almost seemed like Pike was sending a message albeit for what I don't know.I think Mathis was for discipline issues.
He attacked and made some nice plays last nite attacking the rimNot to harp on kiss anymore but really don’t think he’s a big ten player ...he’s really a one dimensional player who doesn’t even shoot that well . So weak with the ball in his hand and doesn’t attack the rim effectively. Obviously he can improve next year but I see him getting passed over and playing few minutes next year .
I feel as though everyone magnifies PK's mistakes more than everyone on the team. He had 2 turnovers yes, but so did everyone else. He also made a couple big shots throughout the game and played under control.
He's a good scorer off the bench for a team that struggles to score. Give him a break

Why would he get mad about being fouled when Indiana was in foul mode?Despite to two misses (maybe partly because he was still steaming about being fouled) he still is one of our best free throw shooters.

You are correct. There was a build-up about him and it led to some unrealistic expectations IMO. He can be a valuable role player but we were led to believe he would be more than that.
There was build up because he practiced well coming into the season - which makes sense because Kiss is a good player when the competition isn’t elite and his confidence goes untested. He might still just be short on experience , he has the feel of a player who really comes on during their senior year
