Btw despite all the hoopla surrounding Tiger Woods, Brooks Koepka never flinched and won his 2nd major of the year and 3rd of the last 7 majors played.

I admit he has been huge for the game of golf, but a lot of the attention he receives is nauseating. I don't understand how someone with his background and how he used to be, is worshipped like he is. I expected the announcers to cream in their pants. The announcers and the media sound so ridiculous over Tiger Woods it makes me want to throw up.
Tiger gave it a shot. The one that sat on the edge of the cup was so close I believe if someone jumped up and down it would have fell in and then there was that just rimmed out. He was right there. OFC

These fans are just as dumb. Say what you will, I just can't pull for him.
It is very "entertaining" to pull against him, I will admit. Reminds me of pulling against UNC-CHEAT.

....and his path to humbleness started with an 8 iron years ago.
One of my favorite golfers is John Daly. I really don’t know why. I guess it’s his I don’t care attitude. His confidence wearing the pants. I don’t care what people think. Not afraid to show his frustration. I show how I feel, and not put on this fake please people personality or something. He just seems (real) to me. He had some drinking problems like me. I guess he kinda reminds me of me, I don’t know. Little crazy. He’s different. I like it. A lot of golfers are just fake. Like I see Tiger when I listen to him. He just sounds fake to me, especially given all his off the course crap. Daly is who he is, and may not be the best person in the world, but he’s (real)
I loved his line on Feherty's show a while back. He was asked why he quit college. He said "I ran out of electives."Quick John Daly story. About 18 to 20 years ago, right when I was getting my start in the radio business, I interned for one of the 'big' sports stations in Minneapolis. Tom Lehman hosted a celebrity golf tournament every year raising money for cancer.
Anyway, one of our 'on-air' personalities (a former NFL player) was asked to caddy for John Daly. It got me inside the ropes to follow along and get pictures. On the range, Daly opened a pack of Marlboro Red's and started sucking heaters. By like the 12th hole, he opened another pack. I'm not sure he went more than half a hole without having one lit.
Really nice guy and hit the ball a ton. He also bought us shots in the clubhouse when the round was over.
His personal transgressions are definitely a good reason to dislike him. But a lot of people actively pulled against him long before his nefarious personal life ever came to light. Do you fall in that category?
I've never been a fan of his. His personal life years ago only summed up what I already felt, that he was a real douche. When you hear the stories about him leaving a dinner gathering without paying, when you watched him in his dominant times cursing and throwing mini tantrums, totally ignoring his fans as he walked by, all these things and no announcer other than Johnny Miller ever being critical of him, yeah it mounts up to where you pull for him to lose more than someone else to win.
No one in their right mind can deny his importance to the game of golf, and the money these guys make now and the way golf has became a sport where a guy athletic and strong wants to play, can all tie back into Tiger.
I can appreciate his game, and he does appear to be a little humble now. Life has a way of doing that, and his path to humbleness started with an 8 iron years ago.
He, cam newton, and Tyrone Hansburg are definitely in my top five least fav athletes of all time.
I was wondering the same thing. Anyone know what tyreke is up to these days? What's tyrone doing now and who's tami dating now. OFC
Also, I wonder what our buddy JT herringbone is doing now?
Pre-incident Tiger hate seems to me to be an awful lot like Duke hate.
