Just watched it.... Maybe the most ridiculous segment I've ever seen on ESPN... And that's saying something. I'm not sure how serious they were but Stephen A. Smith talking about his "source" and the general tone of the conversation seems to imply they believe what they were saying.... Cal being fired is too stupid to even comprehend. His source is full of s@&$ obviously

Smith doesn't have a source, this is made up garbage........again nothing has to be based on facts or reality.

It's shock value and that's all it is.

If Cal was about to get fired they wouldn't have given him and all of his assistants huge raises after the season.

Think before you speak, Smith.

let me interpret "my sources say". It means I'm getting ready to make up some Bullsh!t and don't want to get sued.

He shouldn't even have a job. He wouldn't know anything unless Bales Charkley told him.

As I said before, the insanity of the media right now about UK is reaching biblical proportions. UK is literally the biggest name and biggest story in sports right now.

At some point it's important to remember that Smith only has half a brain. He's probably only employed at this point because of affirmative action. Oops, I said it.

But let's be honest, it can't be due to his unique skill set or intelligence.

That might very well be the dumbest thing I've ever heard a sports talking head say.

I did listen to it, and I don't think he said it in jest at all.

I have yet to appreciate why or how Steve A Smith became recognized by ESPN or anyone as having something important to say. I have never found him credible. He is self absorbed and obnoxious. Apparently, this sells well for ESPN but for me I find him nauseating.

ESPN really needs to amp up its drug testing policy. Whatever they have in place now is apparently not working.

All the ESPN space-filler talking head hosts want to talk about is the NBA and the NFL. That's what they are most comfortable discussing and once they go out of their comfort zone they have to resort to hyperbole, relating to the professional game or stating something obvious and spending 5 minutes elaborating on it uncomfortably.

If Mitch were to even try some kind of crap like this he had better pack his bags as well and get on the plane with Cal. Everyone in Kentucky knows how good it is to have Cal here. He was made for this job. If he decides to move along on his own accord, fine so be it but Mitch had better not mess this up.

Is this part true? I don't live in KY so I wouldn't know.

He's a character. Calm Stephen A. has some really insightful things to say about sports (when he was on CNN he was excellent), but loud Stephen A. says some of the stupidest things imaginable about sports. It's bizarre.

What a tool. Why anyone listens to... well, any of the talking heads is beyond me. Give me Charles Barkley and a sense of humor or give me no one.

I've heard so much B.S. crap about Kentucky from media members who clearly don't know what they are talking about and don't follow college basketball enough. Stephen A can be entertaining but he is full of crap half the time and really only knows the NBA.

Zero, actually ZERO truth to it. It's clutter from people trying for a story
