If Knapper played all those minutes the last 2 games he would have scored 25 points or more both games. He just needs the minutes and experience too. I want to win. I’m glad McCabe got valuable experience and found some rhythm and confidence. Huggins should have helped these 2 more in November and December.
My point is Knapper has improved and just needs the minutes and confidence too. McCabe is going to have to improve and work his *** off to start over Knapper. Knapper will have a full offseason to work this year. Both are going to be better than Beetle. Beetle is not a point guard and is wild and out of control.
I’ll post wherever I want homies with extra chromies rise upThis is talk for people with the normal amount of chromosomes.
Very easy answer to anyone paying even minimal attention--McCabe was on the bench after doing anything that certain folks on the coaching staff considered to be a 'mistake'. He was not being given any chance at all to develop confidence and feel for the game. Some games he would be sent in and play less than half a minute and out he would come. when in he was showing decent foot skill on defense and the ability to properly distribute the ball was evident. He was not in long enough to score many points and get in any sort of rhythm.Where was McCabe in previous games? Neither one of these guys ever got to play big minutes without being taken out. That hurt both Knapper and McCabe development and confidence.
Knapper and Horton are both good but don’t get to stay in long stretches to get comfortable. That’s Huggs fault.

It seemed obvious that the staff favored the home state kid who rewarded them with numerous turnovers and very few assists. Sure, he had a couple games where he scored several points from taking a truck load of shots, some of which were a horrible choice and totally ill-advised. Yet , he removed playing more minutes than seemed justified).
Now, with the very short bench, the 'quick hook' cannot be utilized. Result is that McCabe has responded with eye catching performances. Note the assist to TO ratio over the time he has been allowed to play enough to raise a real sweat. The TCU game not only gave some of these kids a long time to build statistics, but ir showed who can play long periods and still be fresh enough to perform reasonably.
I have said repeatedly that I do not see Knapper having the proper skill set and mental make up to be successful as a PG. (He may develop into a scorer, but his ball handling is far inferior to that of McCabe as evidenced by his TOs and lack of assists.)
The constant drum beat for what Knapper will do under a variety of circumstances is nothing but pure speculation not supported by fact. Sure, his neck injury has opened the door for McCabe and opened the eyes of Huggs and he whole coaching staff. But, there is no denying that the kid has stepped forth with production. We have data to support his PT. All we have from Knapper are the 'thoughts' of a very biased fan with irrational and unfounded declarations of greatness.
The factless super hype has reached the point of causing severe nausea. I really care not whether Knapper stays or is asked to move on. Whatever the decision, my hope and trust is that the team will be improved by it.
McCabe scores pedestrian 12 points playing 36 minutes in regulation with nobody else available and not looking over his shoulder for 2nd game in row.
"Clearly" have an agenda. Clear to only someone blind to facts. I have no idea of who you are, what your educational level is, or your age. From your discourse I can draw some reasonable conclusions. I consider any discussion with you to be fruitless and, quite honestly, promotes a feeling of taking advantage of one totally out of contact with reality. Hard to believe that any adult with even slightly sub par intelligence could utter the nonsense I have heard come from you. Thus I will refrain from engaging in conversation that a prompts such unrealistic responses that are embarrassing to read and cast a quite unrealthy image of you, even if you are incapable of realizing it.C’mon eerdoc you clearly have an agenda. Knapper was screwed over worse than McCabe. If Knapper got to play more minutes all year he would have become much better. Give the guy a break it takes a guard more time to get back the timing, rhythm after knee injuries and the summer blood clot that sidelined him like more than people realize.
McCabe benefited by getting to stay in and play with Beetle and Knapper injured. Knapper would have benefited as well but never got a chance. Huggs took him out quickly all year too. Knapper has been screwed over badly. Only home state kid getting favored was Harler. McCabe has been babied more than Knapper. When Knapper scored 25 in regulation in limited minutes you were no where to be found. Eerdoc you are one of those anti WV inferior complex wimps that thinks a player has to be better if he’s from out of state. Knapper hasn’t been given a shot either. He was completely poorly coached all year. Both were. This falls on Huggs. Knapper has cut his turnovers down and showed good potential. He just needs minutes, confidence to grow and develop too. They all do including Horton. All 3 can play but need confidence and minutes.
We need to see more. His stats were mostly from 3 overtime’s and 55 minutes. He didn’t have to share minutes with Knapper and Beetle out. I bet anything that Knapper would have scored way more and we win in regulation with Knapper.
Knapper has already showed his promise. McCabe finally showed something tonight. Both will improve. Beetle may be the one squeezed out.
Knapper and McCabe will get better for next year. They are freshmen. Knapper had no offseason last year. That won’t be the case this year. He will get a full healthy offseason to work out and develop.
No way to know who will improve the most. Major problems this year for both. Right now it looks like it comes down to who is first at getting mentally prepared. McCabe has a big edge dribbling and passing. We need to see more. His stats were mostly from 3 overtime’s and 55 minutes. He didn’t have to share minutes with Knapper and Beetle out. I bet anything that Knapper would have scored way more and we win in regulation with Knapper.

Love Knapper, but no way could he ever dish and find the bigs, the way Jordon does...Knapp should be a 2...honestly Brandon seems to be a perfect fit for Marshall...
I guarantee Knapper would have scored a lot of points the last 2 games if he played all the minutes McCabe got. Why argue that?
He couldn’t figure out how to organize a 2 car paradeNo guarantee that McCabe or Culver have another good game. But pride doesn't understand basketball. He only knows what if games.
