Well I must tell you, you can win with that if you're on the good side of that percentage and not the bad side every game.

And this fact remains:

You hit more threes than they did. Now if you shoot that percentage and they make more than you you're probably going to be in trouble.

But if you shoot that percentage or better and make more than them you're going to win probably.
Kentucky needs to make sure they hit eight and the other team hits 7 or less.

Kentucky is 34.1 percent on 3-pointers for the year (No. 178 nationally)
Kentucky takes just 23.7 per game (No. 158 nationally)
Kentucky makes just 8.1 per game (No. 154 nationally)

Horrendous job building this team.
No way to sugar-coat these stats. If you are not a good 3-point shooting team nowadays, you better have Lew Alcindor mannning the center position for you!

Wow. Who gives a **** about threes. We made the tournament with our PG injured. Trolls like to stir **** up

Actually to above poster having a pg would get us more looks from three. Lord since this board has mixed it's brought out the dumbasses.
I thought he was just throwing stats? 🤷

I’ve said it many times before so one more time won’t hurt. Steph Curry killed the game of basketball as we know it. Playing 5 out bombing 30 3’s a game is the new norm and it will result in less and less viewership long term. Barely any strategy, no set plays, no sense of teamwork. So basically, Alabama basketball. 😆

I don't think he killed the game, better spacing allows for more variety. Smaller guys with good handles have a better shot of succeeding now. Also don't think guys like Luka and Jokic would be given a fair shake in the 90s.

I think the game sucks now because they never call walks and allow people to get away with things they even called on Iverson. Not because of the shooting proficiency.

I'm a huge fan of guys like Jason Williams (white chocolate), Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford, etc, even if none of them were considered "winning" players. I think the modern game allows for more of those type of players, but they need to enforce some rules. Those guys I mentioned are special because they did what they did within the rules.

All that being said, I prefer 90's / 00's ball to now. I'm just disagreeing that Curry killed it.

He built this team for defense & physicality because last year we had shooters & none of the other, the shooting this year isn't as good as last year by 3% points. Last year 37.5% & this year it's 34%, not that much of a difference really. This team doesn't have a Jaxson Robinson cutting to the basket freeing up better looks for our best shooter (Chandler)

Aberdeen is a far better pg than Lowe. Aberdeen plays under control and can hit 3s. He can also get to the basket. He has almost a 4:1 assist to ratio and if he had a better team around him his stats would be even better. If anyone stirs anything it’s by pointing to a these scenarios that could have happened. Maybe Lowe plays all year and we miss the tourney? If Lowe plays we don’t get to see how efficient Aberdeen is. I agree as far as this. Aberdeen is not a championship pg and we never had one on the roster.
