While I would agree 100% with your last paragraph, that has nothing to do with what kind of player she is.CC's elite passing and court vision separates her from PB in terms of who the better point guard is. Not even close.
Also, Dallas is averaging less than 8,000 fans at their home games this season. Paige is a great player, but people don't care and aren't particularly inspired to show up and watch her play.
Sure it does. While I would agree 100% with your last paragraph, that has nothing to do with what kind of player she is.
Morons like nu2 can't grasp this.I would like to see how well Paige plays if she was treated with the same abuse Caitlin received last year.
Knocked to the floor, elbows to the face and grabbing her arms as she dribbled.
Can't be compared unless she was treated the same way.
Normally you're a smart guy so we will assume this was a troll post.Paige's passing ability is just as good as CC's.
Aside from the fact that CC averaged more points, more assists, more rebounds, more blocked shots, had a better 3pt %, had a better FT %, and had led Indiana to a better record and better positioned for the playoffs than PB... spot on post. Lol.PB is having as good, if not better, a rookie year as CC.
Paige is treated and guarded way different than CC has beenPaige's complete OVERALL game- factoring in shooting percentage, turnovers, mid-range game, etc. Is better than Caitlin's. it only takes a few games watching Paige at this level to see it. What makes Caitlin a unicorn is her deep threes (at a low percentage) and her insane passing ability. Other than that, Paige gets the nod. Caitlin's passing is SO important though that it makes up (to some degree) for her lack in other areas.

Clueless regarding this subjectAnd one of the reasons for that is how she responds to that defense.
That article is about as intelligent and agenda driven, as I would expect from Yahoo sports. Comparing completely different type players in vastly different situations.
Nailed it' great post. I would also say that it's comparing apples/ oranges...CC has the ball in her possession constantly. Typically against 3/4 court pressure. And not be a Homer, but love to know how many of her TO hit her teammates in the hands first. Anyway, both great players, just differentDumb take. Comparing Paige to this years Caitlin is . . . well . . . dumb. Second, the WNBA did not anoint her the face of the league. She was an international superstar before she stepped on the court in the W. In fact, she was not welcomed into the league at all. The league tried to give her a rude awakening.
Paige, like A'ja and Nepheesa, plays a normal, we've seen it before, game of basketball at an extraordinary level. Caitlin plays an extraordinary, not seen before, game of basketball at a normal level. Big difference.
Really. So once Sides to the shackles off CC22 they played really well. Her play lifted that team. Is Dallas playing that much better because of PB? She's a really good player, BUT is she making her team mates better as much as Clark did?PB is having as good, if not better, a rookie year as CC.
Totally agree and that's the key point here. Does a player make the team and teammates better? Clark does.Really. So once Sides to the shackles off CC22 they played really well. Her play lifted that team. Is Dallas playing that much better because of PB? She's a really good player, BUT is she making her team mates better as much as Clark did?

Paige was 5-19 with ZERO threes against the Fever last night (Aug. 13). She added five rebounds and eight assists. She's not exactly Caitlin Clark. LOL
This times 100. Its what makes the W a ******* joke. Even the announcers are like WTFI would like to see how well Paige plays if she was treated with the same abuse Caitlin received last year.
Knocked to the floor, elbows to the face and grabbing her arms as she dribbled.
Can't be compared unless she was treated the same way.
Paige gets calls CC could only dream ofBueckers does get double teams but I agree, the level of defensive intensity game planned for PB is not close to what CC has dealt with so far. Cunningham kind of opened a window into how opponents view CC (at least at Phoenix) and the imperative to stop her. To be fair, I’m sure Paige gets a little bit of this also but it’s mostly the rookie treatment…. without the vitriol.
On a team that completely sucks balls? She hasn't moved the needle there at all.PB is having as good, if not better, a rookie year as CC.
Paige has professed her wokeness and lezboism what do you expectPaige gets calls CC could only dream of
The LA Sparks (16-17) won at Dallas (9-25) on Friday, 97-96.
They said on the broadcast (see video below) that she had 481 assists. The truth? After the game, she had a grand total of 146.
This.Much like with the constant complaining about officials, I am getting a little tired of all the white knighting on social media any time there's even a hint of Caitlin Clark slander.
Regardless of the intent of the people responsible for this graphic, and the fact that the announcer Ron Burgandy'd it, it was clear that it should've been her point total and was easy enough for people/fans to fact-check.
But treating stuff like this as more proof to feed the conspiracy that "they" are trying to downplay Caitlin Clark is honestly tiresome to see at this point, and I say this because I can't see a point in time where this constant back-and-forth bullsh** ends, and make no mistake, CC is gonna be in the league for a long time.
Clark is very fortunate Paige got hurt when she did (in college).Did the story factor in how many fans line up to watch one player when she comes to town vs the other?
What are you even rambling about? Bueckers and her 19 pts a game playing with 5 other 5 star players really gets the crowd fired up. Do you honestly think Paige could have taken a team of mostly role players like Iowa and carried them to 2 championship games in a row? 27-8 and then 31-9 her Senior year? Paige is a nice player but CC is/was must watch TV her last 2 years at Iowa.Clark is very fortunate Paige got hurt when she did (in college).
Before Paige's injury, she was the face of women's college basketball. CC mania would have never taken off the way it did if Paige had been healthy the whole time.
I don't care how good CC is. A girl from Iowa launching from the logo just doesn't become bigger than UCONN being UCONN, on the shoulders of the face of the game.
CC benefited a lot of zeros from that timing
I think my sentiments were expressed pretty clearly. CC's popularity would not have taken off to the degree it did, had PB been healthy. What are you even rambling about? Are you claiming CC is the best women's player in the world?Nailed it.
And there is no comparison to be made between CC and anyone else. Period. CC is a unique talent who can do it all. Others may rebound or score or whatever, but no one can play the entire game the way CC does. That was clear in college. That was clear last year when CC was just a rookie.
This league is horrible. The only thing giving it any legitimacy is CC. People can make up whatever the hell they want, just like they do in politics these days, but that doesn't alter the truth. It doesn't change the facts. I wouldn't walk across the street if you paid me $1,000 to watch any women's basketball player other than Caitlin Clark. There's CC and then there's everybody else.
Well AI says she was a top player in the W last year analytically behind Collier, Aja, Stewart and Thomas. And I’d agree with that. And that was in her 1st season. And also all those other players were surrounded by much more experienced teams as well. So I’d say if she’s a top 5 player she’s not far from being the best in a few years barring injuries. Are you claiming CC is the best women's player in the world?
If so, that's not close to accurate
