Chandler is going to have a lot of options in the free agency. I don’t know why it’s assumed hes back. This year was not a good one and he’s going to have a lot of teams come calling. I would mint be surprised if UNC, Duke, Kansas, etc some are in the mix. If not those then BYU and some really good programs will likely make a pitch. The assumption that Chandler isn’t going anywhere is really shows a misunderstanding about the current landscape. Chandler is an all American in the making. People are going to make a pitch. And I don’t trust Mark to be able to out recruit those, which is exactly what he’ll have to do. Hopefully Chandler leans more toward loyalty to Mark and Kentucky than seeing dollar signs and a new start. But I don’t know, there’s been times Chandler really didn’t look happy to me. But you also can’t go by that.

Chandler is testing the waters at times driving to the basket, but he’ll never be a power driver like Oweh. He just picks and chooses his driving differently.
Chandler is not going to be the bull dog type rim attacker like Oweh is but CC has to become more than just a three point shooter and fast break dunker. For his game to reach the next level, he’s got to start pulling up and hitting 12 footers.

Plug and play portal. Three to look at are Terrance Brown, Juke Harris and Daniel Freitag. Chandler will be a huge piece next year but he plays a different game then Oweh, will still need to replace Oweh.
I like Harris better than the other 2

Harris better scorer 4.9 rating than OO 3.7 slight dip in defense not much 3.8 rating compared to OO at 4.2

I don’t see how it’s funny? Chandler is going to be highly sought out. He’s got the making of a star. Guy is going to be contacted if you don’t believe that then I’m not sure what you think the NIL era is.
speaking of a star in the making, billy richmond from ark has had 7 20pt games in a row, hes a guy id love to see transfer

Chandler and Noah know what it means to be a Wildcat. They're here for the name on the front of the jersey. I wish we had 10 more just like them...if you catch my drift. Chandler wouldn't leave UK for $10M I don't think

I think Chandler might be one that shows loyalty to Pope and to Kentucky. If it was someone else I’d be more worried. But we still have to see what offers are thrown around, I’m sure some big programs are going to gauge interests. Chandler is on course to be a star, they are going to call. I’m just not going to assume anything until the roster is set. Modern college basketball sucks.

I respectfully disagree about the 12 footers. I don't want any UK player looking for those. In my opinion that's a shot you mostly take when you're stuck and the clock is running out. I'd like to see Chandler improve on the very same thing he said he focused on last offseason - ball handling. His current handle leaves him basically a straight line driver, although he doesn't do that much either. He needs more shiftiness to elevate his game, get space on his shot and also get to the rim more often. He has the size and leaping ability, just sort of stiff in his movements.

I think he will do those things next year by putting in the work during the summer. Will he be as aggressive as Oweh.. no, but he will put the ball on the deck to get in the paint for those 12 footers you mentioned. He kinda has already started to do that. What got Brea drafted was his ability to get those pull ups and get in the lane. I think Chandler will use his 3 point shooting to pump fake and get those type of shots.

Winning thebStokes sweepstakes and adding a guy like Harris and a PG in the portal to go with Chandler, Moreno, Jelly, Lowe and Williams is the makings of a very good team depending on Lowes recovery and the quality of the other PG you get. Id also say getting a solid back up 5 to Moreno would be nice.

Mo D, Garrison and Johnson can all move on even though I appreciate Mo Ds hustle.

My concern with Stokes as with any projected lottery is do they pull the Peterson load management. I guess gamble and find out. Plus will need a real PF/Strerch 4

I’m not talking about long 19 ft 2 point shots. I’m talking about getting by his man (which he does a lot) and pulling up in the paint and shooting or go ahead and take it to the hole, which he rarely does.
I’m not saying that’s all he should do but if he made that a weapon then getting all the way to the rim becomes easier.

Chandler ain’t leaving
Let’s hope so. They will call though, I don’t like it but can’t see it not happening.

One other reason I worry about it is he’s married now and she lives in Utah and he’s Mormon. BYU has certainly taken notice. I just think it’s something to keep in mind so if it happens I don’t have to have a breakdown and beat my dog.

Love Richmond
Hard working, seems to be modest, and just a junk yard dog. Don’t see him leaving Cal though.
I don’t either, however, Boogie did. Although Acuff was coming in and Calipari clearly made room and told Boogie the ball would be for acuff. Different situation than Richmond for sure. Richmond as a junior wouldn’t be good to deal with. I figured this would be Calipari’s best team at Ark and I still think that, but didn’t really expect Richmond to hang around until junior year though.

Chandler is great at what he does and what he does is valuable. But he will never penetrate like Oweh does. Since perimeter shooting is so critical to what Pope wants to do, we take a portal Oweh to keep defenses honest and let that perimeter game function. We’ll take two of them if we happen to be able to get them.

I think Noah is here for the name on the jersey, the jersey is probably growing on Chandler but he's only here because of Pope. I don't think Chandler will leave either.

I can see that but overly relying on oweh means done deal to me early. I think in the tournament a hot chandler who gets fed is going to be the difference. Oweh penetrates well but he’s still not great at finishing. Although he has finally been finishing better, so maybe. Chandler for 48% from 3, 27 ppg brings a final four. Only way I see it coming. I’m going deep, let it fly and start praying. Video game time.

Chandler is a catch and shoot and spot up shooter.Thats how he's gonna make his future money nothing wrong with that. He is not a jump shooter like Tyler Herro. and Oweh.He can drive but it's way too slow for the NBA .
