Him and Slim Jesus are the only foreign players that can make a real difference. The rest are good on videos but they play against slow , adult man league type competition.

Hugo Yimga is the best foreign prospect. Way higher than slim Jesus or Ndiaye. I’d take any of the 3 though.
Spot shooter good. Way less athletic than Slim Jesus and even less than N’ Diaye . Played against inferior competition. So not the best foreign But a good spot shooter. He could complement MCbride but would not be as explosive as Slim Jesus.

Pope talked to him last year face to face. He seemed interesting in Pope offense scheme. Not sure what Pope is prioritizing. he on purpose is contacting everyone to let other coaches on wrong directions this year. I am not sure if this will work since so far we didn’t land any big fish.

In 5 years, sure I could see that. For next year I don't think so. According to his own coach he has a lot of growing up to do and it will take him a while to adjust to American physicality.

It’s funny, I keep hearing about how much $$$ UK has to build a roster, with allegedly $4-$5 million for Stokes alone, and how Pope is pursuing this stud and that stud, and overspent on this dude and that dude, but going on 2 years straight, 3 really but I’m a reasonable guy and I won’t count his first recruiting class against him, Pope has yet to secure a single elite or star level player, while Arkansas, Louisville, UCONN, and Illinois etc., just to name a few, have landed star after stat after star!
I get it that those programs (sans UofL) have well established coaches, but we are talking about $$$ here! And now we’re talking about “Slim Jesus” who probably has the best agent representing him from the bunch, coming to UK/

Folks, if the perception of you from others was that you were wealthy, and everyone knew you needed a new car, and it’s well documented that you have been car shopping at the best dealerships in the area, and you kept coming back home in a rental, at some point the perception that you have $$$ is eventually going to change!

We better hope that the 5th year of eligibility goes through. We have money to burn and a lot of good players suddenly become avaliable if it happens while most teams are done spending

Miika went to one best Serbian teams, Partizan for their the coach Željko Obradović. They had a good chemistry . The Serbian coach showed Miika tough love and said that he is “Mature beyond his years.
Miika had an agreement with Obradvic, one of the best coaches in Europe’s at developing players, to train him for one year and get him ready for NCAA.
Obradovic had to resign and was a replace by a Spanish coach who started blaming everyone including Miika. His interview got retweeted in USA and created a bad rep for Slim Jesus about maturity or readiness. They are pissed off that he is leaving Partizan after one year but that’s what he agreed with Obradovic.
He is ready for NCAA. If Ament was ready , Miika would explode under the right coaching. my two cents from someone that follows ex Yugoslavian and European basketball In general.
