“Same regular season type of baseball team” except not because GT never has pitching and that’s why they lose regionals
I agree GT should be fine, but they have started freaking out a bit:
Does Auburn have any pitching left? Can Milwaukee do the unthinkable and beat Auburn once out of possibly 2 games?
Posted in another thread but personally would much rather play USC, USC is 2-11 in games against teams in the top 50 in RPIUSC just hammering the ball. Formidable. I'd rather play A&M, but I think SC offense outpaces tomorrow whatever limitations they'll have with pitching staff. They're grooving. Anyone with observations of how good UT and UGA looked for the regionals?
eta - maybe I'm speaking too soon. still in 5th. usc looks hard to beat tho

Oregon State (Midweek) L 4-12
UCSB (Midweeks): Split W 7-6 and L 1-5
UCLA: Got Swept 4-12, 8-9, 4-10
Nebraska: Got swept 7-8, 2-12(F/7), 6-16 (F/8)
Oregon: Lost Series W 2-1 (F/11), L 3-4, L 5-6 (F/14)
UCLA (B10 Tournament): L 5-7
They are really hot right now, but A&M is a lot scarier IMO
Also helps that Texas got to face the Sisters of The Poor in their regionalBoth Texas and Georgia looked really good, as expected
Not off to a good start in game 1…Can Milwaukee do the unthinkable and beat Auburn once out of possibly 2 games?

The difference is that GT did it primarily with offense, and Carolina relied more heavily on pitching and defense.
P.S. And GT must have won a Super in 2006 because the Jackets made it to the CWS--with us, Clemson and Miami
