More recently, Call me by your name. Sad to say I watched it for 2 hrs, but it was free. The video should be free too.

A high school wrestler from the pacific northwest, despite being very good at his current weight, inexplicable decides to cut 20 pounds to wrestle a defending, undefeated state champion just for his own glory. He needs to convince his widowed dad, coach, and actually drop way below his natural weight, all while working a night job as a waiter and trying to bang an older, edgy chick that has moved into his house and happens to be from Trenton, NJ. In a sappy happy ending, he manages to get the girl and win the match despite obviously being outclassed and malnourished. It's all because he had a vision.
You left out that his white best friend pretended to be a Native American.

No Way Out. Kevin Costner is put in charge of looking for an imaginary Russian spy to frame for killing the Sec of Defense's girlfriend. At the end, the big plot twist is that Costner actually is a Russian spy, which is totally irrelevant to the fact that they were trying to frame an imaginary Russian spy.
just realized this was a very old thread trudged back up for some reason... and I already had responded to this one!

The thread had died on March 26th until Jawn brought it back to life this weekend to tell us about "Gotti"

The Day After Tomorrow...based on the super bad science spewed therein...

It did make a great final exam for my meteorology class...where I would have them watch the crap fest and explain at least 5 meteorologically impossible things...there were so many

Who can forget Heavens Gate?
Heavens Gate is, surprisingly, a pretty good movie. I think what they show now is a directors cut.

But I will offer up a movie that matches the criticism of the original Heavens Gate.. making history BORING beyond belief...

Ted Turner's Gettysburg and especially its later prequel Gods and Generals.

Gettysburg.. 4 and a half hours of READING and PRAYING interrupted by occasional Civil War reenactors getting their nerd on. Well reviewed NOW.. but damn.. that was one bad experience. I wanted to walk out on The Battle of Gettysburg!

You had to sit through actors READING letters.. and PRAYING.

And Ted Turner.. that bastard paid to film this movie and seemed to refuse to allow anything he paid for end up on the cutting room floor. He wasted countless hours of theater goers time.
